    Social tourism as one of the forms of tourism is designed for those segments of the population which cannot, without social and other interventions, partake in tourist goods. Social tourism relates ... also to government measures of different countries for the stimulation of holiday traveling. The degree of tourist abstention depends on the degree of development of the country and therefore also the connection between social tourism and economic development of an individual country which is measured also with GDP per capita. This kind of tourism has numerous positive effects for the economy as well as for the tourists. This is why the European Union supports the iniatives which would make tourism accessible to all the Europeans. Social tourism is not only an economic activity with multiplicative results, it is also a social activity which brings numerous positive benefits which Europe, as a tourist destination should recognize and take advantage of.
