  • Long-term fluctuation of glaciers runoff in the basins of Central Asia

    The paper presents some materials on changing of the Pamiro-Alai glaciers sizes during 1957-1980. Estimations of runoff variability requires determination of long-term series of glaciers regime ... parameters. The author (Konovalov, 1985) has developed REGMOND - a physical and statistical model of accumulation and ablation processes for an integrity of glaciers in a river basin, which at present is used for detailed computations of water balance components in a number of large glacierized regions of Central Asia. Empirical statistics of glaciers runoff for 1935-1994 and quasi-periodical features of its long-term series are considered also
