  • Umetnost kot tema, motiv in (korespondenčni) gradnik poezije Toneta Pretnarja
    Šurla, Andrej
Poet, literry historian, author of literary translations and lecturer of Slovenian langauge at the universities abroad, dr. Tone Prenar (1945-1992) was a writer as well. In this area he is most known ... as a "graphoman", however his youth and his last life period has been characterized also by Full-Blooded Poetry. Collection of hundred octaves/stanzas "In the confluence of the rivers Bistrica and Mošenik" is a monument of famous buildings as well as personalities, history and streets in the surroundings of his birthplace Tržič. Powerful elemet of his collection is art. At the level of external appearance this is apparent as a recpect of a verse creation tradition (octave/stanza is an elemet of similar intonationed texts fromthe treasury of European and Slovenian literaure; in some Pretnar's writings we can also recognize syntactic structures of known literary pieces). Art is frequently used motive in these poems (such as verse of a local poet, architectural buildstone of church or castle, product of handcraft). Signification of art (as timeless dimension of life) is also one of the themes of this collection.
