    This thesis titled Themes and motifs in the chosen works of Ladislav Fuks reflecting everyday life during the German occupation and the Second World War describes the major themes and analyses the ... repetitive motifs in The Cremator, Mr. Theodore Mundstock and My dark-haired brothers. First part is focused on Fuks's life and how some of his life events affected him to decide and write about it, on a short summary of the chosen works and the historic context. Second part presents the main themes - Jew theme, violence and evil of war, existential theme and mental diseases. Furthermore it is focused on a detailed classification of the motifs which occur in the author's chosen works, its' meanings, its' context in the era and supported by examples taken out of the chosen works directly.
