  • Artificial intelligence in manufacturing systems

    In recent years, production has changed dramatically due to the increasing complexity of industrial production, the need for high utilization, higher flexibility, higher quality and lower costs. New ... production problems arose that can lo longer be solved by conventional methods and tools. Therefore, researches are aimed at making an intelligent production system, which consists of several subsystems: the subsystem for detection, for deciding and for execution. New approaches, like artificial intelligence methods, can be efficiently introduced into the manufacturing environment. The paper first discusess the reasons for the use of intelligent systems in modern production and then it presents the concept of the intelligent maschine.
