  • Genetic programming approach for surface quality prediction of monel alloy

    In this paper the genetic programming method is used for surface quality prediction. In the proposed concept the mathematical models for surface roughness undergo adaptation. During the simulated ... evolution more and more sucessful models for surface roughness emerge on the basis of a trainig data set. The best genetically developed correlation (i.e. model) between surface roughness as a dependent variable and independent variables (cutting speed, feed rate and cutting depth) is presented. The quality of the best model is also stated with the testing data set.
