  • Določanje protiteles proti trombocitom pri kronični idiopatični trombocitopenični purpuri s pretočnim citometrom = Flow cytometry analysis of platelet antibodies in chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura

Background. To confirm the diagnosis of autoimune thrombocytopenia we test antibodies against platelets, which are bind on platelets (direct assay) or are free in plasma (indirect assay). Class IgG ... and IgM platelet antibodies canbe determined. Results. Flow cytometry was used to detect plated antibodiesin 56 patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). Platelet associated antibodies (direct assay) twere positive in 30/56 (54%) patients with 19/56 (34%) positive for IgG and 25/56 (45%) for IgM. Circulating antibodies (indirect assay) were positive in 35/56 (62%) patients with 27/56 (48%) for IgG and 26/54 (46%) for IgM.15/56 (27%) patients were positive for platelet associated antibodies IgG and IgM. 18/56 (32%) patients were positive for circulating antibodies IgG and IgM. 24/56 (43%) patients were positive for both, circulating and platelet associated antibodies. Bone marrow examination was made in 37/56 patients. An increased numbers of megakaryocytes were found in 31/37 (88%) patients. Conclusions. In patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura increased values of antibodies were found by both methods.
