  • Timely and quality information for assuring objective goals of civil and building projects

    To assure objective goals of civil and building projects, such as timeliness quality and economy, project leaders should possess professional knowledge, special skills and necessary working ... experience. Equally important is on-line access to continuous and accurate information on projects during their execution or, in the terminology of project management, during the performance of necessary activities for the achievement of objective goals of projects. The communication from "bottom to top" (from contractors to leaders) and vice-versa is more important than that among contractors them selves. Project leaders should have at their disposal a suitable information system to make correct decisions, to take steps for their implementation, and thus assure project goals. The gap in the creation of information systems, however, is mostly due to bad organizational links among investors and, unfortunately also to scarcity of required computer tools or programs.
