    The paper describes the newly developed postgraduate study programme European Master in Construction Information Technology, its purpose, structure, organisation, curriculum and learning environment. ... This programme has been developed by seven partner universities ans will run on most of them in collaboration. Each university will deliver the best it can offer and get the best from others. Sincle all areas of construction information technology are rarely covered by one single university, such an approch is of significant importance for offering the students a complete programme. Students will attend subjects in different ways. Face to face at home universites, face to face at partner universities, and also by distance learning. The purpose is to provide the best subjects to the students, to let the students get the very important experience of other universities and cultures, and to use IT in the learning process. Great care has been takento develop flexible and effective learning environment to support various study activities.
