  • Simplified high accuracy high bandwidth calibration of dielectric capacitors

    A novel method for calibration of dielectric capacitors is proposed using a commercial high resolution and high bandwidth impendance meter as a comparision device and high bandwidth four terminal ... pair standard resistors. The advantage of the method is that no sophisticated nor custom-built equipment needs to be used to achieve high accuracy and high frequency bandwidth coverage. The methods is simple to aplly once the measuremments and calculations are automated and the influencing parameters properly avuluated. The calculated measurement uncertainties are better than 1.10[up -4] both for capacitance and dissipation factor confirmed by the agreement found with results obtained through other procedures.
