    Theoretical starting points: There are many tools to help prevent the occurrence of ulceration due to stress, but there are many other risk factors that we cannot influence. The purpose of the ... diploma work is to describe and present the prevention and care of ulcer due to stress on the basis of the analysis of professional literature and to highlight the role of a nurse. Method: The study was based on a study of domestic and foreign relevant literature on the subject of ulceration caused by stress. We were interested in factors affecting the ulcer due to stress, the population in which the ulcer develops, the point of origin, classification, degree of ulceration, ways of preventing the formation, ways of treatment and care of ulcer, as well as nutrition important in prevention and ulcer occurrence due to stress. In the diploma work we used the descriptive method (describing the facts) and the compilation method (summarizing the foreign results of the scientific research work). Results: All ten authors we have studied indicate the importance of ulcer prevention due to stress. A nurse plays an important role in prevention and later nursing. In prevention, it is important to relieve the affected body by using soft cushions or exfoliating cushions for the whole body in combination with turning. In terms of wound care, the authors are united, following international guidelines for the prevention and care of pressure ulcers using modern linings. Discussion: The study revealed that prevention of ulcer due to pressure is essential. Good knowledge and cooperation of the entire multidisciplinary team is important to ensure continuous medical care. The revolution began with the finding that the wound was more likely to heal in humid environment. With the study of both domestic and foreign literature available at large, we found out that the authors agree in the subject of ulcer care due to stress.
