    Milfelner, Borut ...
Stress is the result of the interaction between the individual and the environment. Stressors arising from the work environment are very important for employees, since they can lead to serious ... consequences. In some organizations and in the performance of certain work employees are more exposed to greater stress loads than in others. The theoretical part of this paper deals with the stressors arising from the work environment: type of job, conflict between work and private life, role conflict in work setting, role ambiguity and overload, responsibility for others, organizational factors, mobbing and workplace violence, physical work conditions. The results of the empirical research into the sources of stress among employees in Slovenia let us report that the most common stressors in Slovenian organizations are the bad organization of work, unfair evaluation of employees, unequal work distribution, and time limitations. The factors in Slovenian organizations that do not cause high amount of stress are organizational culture, mobbing, work distribution, and working time. The lowest dispersion measured by standard deviation is achieved by the indicator work distribution, while the highest level of standard deviation is achieved by the indicator mobbing.
