  • Fast wireless streaming protocol for biomechanical feedback systems [Elektronski vir] : indoor and outdoor test results
    Gruden, Timotej ...
In this paper, we present a new wireless streaming protocol for use in biomechanical feedback (BMF) systems. BMF involves using sensors to measure physiological and physical body functions, ... processing the acquired data, and providing feedback to the user for performance optimization or rehabilitation. Various communication protocols, including IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, ZigBee, NB-IoT, and LTE, are examined for streaming sensor data in BMF applications. We introduce a wireless streaming protocol specifically designed for BMF systems. It utilizes Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying in the 868 MHz band for robust wireless transmission. Evaluation through indoor and outdoor tests using Software-Defined Radio (SDR) shows promising results in terms of bit error rate, especially under outdoor conditions. However, challenges related to delays are also discussed, leading to suggestions for future implementation improvements.
