    This paper examines nouns which use various semantic and pragmatic aspects to describe people. The aim of this work is to present a group of expressive nouns that describe people; this group is ... somewhat underrepresented in research literature and has meanings that usually imply the speakerʼs attitude. This attitude can be positive, but also mocking, ironic or negative.The primary objective is to present the word-formation of expressive nouns describing people, to elaborate the semantic and pragmatic classification criteria for expressive nouns describing people that have a pejorative connotation, as well as to analyse the structure of their lexical meaning.
