  • Influence of material parameter estimation on thermomechanical damage predictions [Elektronski vir]

    Material parameters determined from physical tests can influence damage predictions. For the austenitic ductile iron D5S examined here, the determination of material parameters from either low cycle ... fatigue (LCF) and creep or LCF and thermomechanical fatigue (TMF) tests proved to be the most suitable for predicting the damage of a thermomechanically loaded standard specimen. We simulated how the damage accumulation differed across the critical cross section of the specimen in response to different sets of material parameters.
