    Companies in chemical, wood-processing and food-production industries use steam for their technological processes. Since the concentration of these companies is low, they usually build their own ... boiler rooms for a production of steam. A certain amount of steam is used in the technological process itself, while the rest returns in the form of a condensate into condensate tanks. The temperature of the returning condensate is relatively high, about 200°C (at 15 bar) and so there is a still utilizable residual heat. In plants where steam is used, it is often necessary to maintain appropriate temperature and moisture levels because of product requirements, so they often need to be cooled, especially in summer. For this purpose both the compressor and absorption refrigerators can be used; the advantage of the later is the fact, that they can utilize the heat from returning condensate instead of additional electrical energy.
