  • Selection of joining methods in production of prefabricated houses
    Polajnar, Ivan ; Junkar, Mihael
Construction elements of assembled dwelling houses are made of thin steel profiles coated by zinc. By joining of these elements different construction models are prepared in the factory which are ... further on filled with isolation material and covered by concrete plates. In this manner the basic house construction elements are made for further assembly of houses on the proposed location. In the investigation of possible joining technologies three different suitable methods for the factory were proposed namely: resistance spot welding, gas metal arc-spot welding and mechanical joining method. In our paper the basic principals of the treated methods are discussed and their main advantages and disadvantages are analysed. The comparison analysis of the obtained results is made, taking into account the boundary conditions which are specific for such a production.
