  • Integrated assembly planning system

    ǂThe ǂpurpose of the presented planning system is to support and integrate activities that are needed for assembly planning of a product - from design to robot programming. For product specification ... an assembly representation model based on spatial relationship between features of different parts is implemented. The optimal assembly sequence is automatically derived from the assembly model using AND/OR graph representation of space of all possible assembly sequences and AO* based heuristic algorithm. The developed system consists of several modules: design module responsible heuristic assembly sequence planner; task planner and assembly cell control module. At this stage the first two modules have been implemented and the other two are in testing phase.
