  • Responding ability in dynamic production circumstances

    The information flow in production environments mainly depends on a structure of a production database. The key information principle assures a definition of the databaseʹs structure which enables ... the whole system to get a common definition of data groups that composes the key information. A connection between the database and the production process is established using an interface based on the idea of process matrix. The interface equipped with the genetic algorithms search technique gathers function of process planning and scheduling into a common decision making environment. Decisions that are usually dealt with consists of production scenario changes caused by disturbances of the production process. The reactions are mainly influenced by costs caused by the momentary desisions. To keep these costs under the profitable border a condition criteria named the point of no return is introduced.
