  • Numerična rešitev konvektivnega toka v porozni kotanji zaradi dvojne difuzije = Numerical solution of double diffusion natural convection in porous cavity

    The problem where a fluid in a closed porous cavity is exposed to vertical heat and mass gradients is presented. Due to the combined effects of temperature and concentration driving buoyancy forces ... as a result of density gardients, the natural convection process occurs, usually named double diffusion natural convention. The problem is solved by the boundary domain integral method as an extension of BEM. The stated transport phenomenon is modeled by the modified Navier-Stokes equations, represented in the form of conservation laws for mass, momentum, energy and species. The governing set of partial differential equations is written according to the velocity-vorticity formulation with the use of appropriate fundamental solutions (Green functions) further transformed into integral equations, discretized and finacially solved with a numerical model. Some numerical results for different governing parameters of convective flow are presented and compared with published studies.
