    Background. The gynecologists providing reproductive health care at primary level represent the essential link in implementation of DP ZORA - National Programme of Organized Cervical Screening ... Programme due to their organisational network and expertice as well as due to their connections and good and trustfull relationship with their women who opt for them as their personal therapeuts. At the begining of active cervical cancer screening gynecologists play an important role in taking care for their women and in councelling them to perform the preventive examination at the interval recommended. For effective invitation procedure, which is proven to be the most effective and for women safe way of active screening listing and categorisation of women are needed. Committee on organisation, epidemiology and informatics of DP ZORA has prepared the categorisation criteria and thus make DP ZORA successful and safe for women. Conclusions. The paper presents the preparation of invitation phase and procedures for categorisation of womenin different subgroups according to invitation process. The role of gynecologists in invitation of women who already optfor them as their therapeut, is stressed. Also, categorisation of women who opt for gynecologistinto two to three years interval is presented. Moreover, special approaches toward women in need for more frequent visits according to recomendations are discussed. Furthermore, limitations in preparation of invitation procedures and categorisation of women are perceived due to different data entry software, absence of identification number neccessary forlinkage of different databases of women and follow up procedures as well asdue to not uniform and diverse quality of citopathological results.
