In recent times there has been ever-increasing debate regarding adverse events after vaccination. ... Adverse events can be localor systemic, the mechanism can be non-immune or immune. Allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions are amongst the latter. A hypersensitivity reaction can be caused by any vaccine component: vaccine antigen, covering, preservative, stabilizing agent or adjuvant found in a vaccine.
