  • Visoka vsebnost inulina v koreninah : regrat - Taraxacum officinale F Weber and Wiggers
    Mlinarič, Aleš
Dandeliion (Taraxacum officinale F. Weber and Wiggers) is a medical plant thatis also appreciated in phytotherapy. The raw material for the drug can be hand picked in nature, where dandelion is very ... frequent or it can be cultivated. The roots and herb contain a milky juice, composed of sesquiterpene lactones, triterpenes, carotenoids, flavonoids and caffeic acid. The roots contain mucilage and a high concentration of fructose, which inautumn transforms into inulin. Extracts from dandeloin herb and roots are succesfully used as a stimulator of bile production and excretion, against digestion problems and stomach difficulties. The drug also has aquaretic effect, which is supposedly due to its sesquiterpenes or potassium salts.
