  • Kronično bolan otrok = Chronically ill child
    Vrba, Ljubica
The number of chronically ill children is increasing and these children were found to have more psyhological problems than their healthy peers. Some of thediseases and disorders can affect child's ... selfimage (his body image, selfesteem, perception of the cause of the disease) his emotional development and development of interrelationship. Also parents and other members of the family can be affected and influence child's development as well. This is alsothe reason why a professional approach is necessary for such conditions: besides appropriate treatment help is needed on the social and emotional ground as well as help for the parents to cope with their child's disease and possible worsenings. Such an approach can be only obtained by a good team work.
