    Histopathological examination of the bioptic specimens of the stomach enables classification of disease entities, which are endoscopically usually nondiagnostic. By microscopical examination, ... patholiogist can classify gastritis, neoplastic and tumor-like lesions. The correct final diagnosis depends on close cooperation between pathologist and gastroenterologist, who samples the representative specimens and gives relevant clinical data. The correct diagnosis is fundamental for a successful therapy.
