    Background. The article presents the management of lung cancer patients as performed in Slovenia. Organization of detection, diagnostics and therapy is described. Corresponding order of all ... diagnostic procedures required for the choice of treatments is stated regarding to histological diagnosis of non-small cell or small cell carcinoma. Conclusions. The following treatment is marked and the importance of follow-up of for additional therapy is emphasised as well as dependence of expected survival results from stage of disease. The managemeng of lung coin lesion is presented separately.
