In this paper, two natural dyes were extracted from Junipers leaves (Juniperus oxycedrus L. and Juniperus excelsa Bieb.). Wool yarn (for carpet) was dyed with the extract using ferrous (II) sulfate, ...potassium dichromate and sodium sulfate as mordant. Then, CIELab (L*, a*, b*, c,* and h) values, color differences (ΔE) and color strength (K/S) values of dyed wool yarns were examined and the fastness properties of dyed wool against dry and wet rubbing were evaluated. According to the experimental results, the use of mordant increased the color strength of dye goods. All mordant increased the rub fastness of dyed samples such as similar scientific studies previously. Compared to two junipers, dyeing samples of J. excelsa are dyed darker than that of J. oxycedrus.
An 8-month-old infant with extensive petechial and purpuric rash was accepted to our pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Patient’s purpuric rash involved the face, chest, and upper and lower ...extremities markedly (Figure 1A). The patient required intubation secondary to decompensated septic shock, and a purpuric lesion was noticed on the right side of the epiglottis during the initial attempt for intubation. A picture of the lesion was taken by video laryngoscopy (Figure 1B). This lesion was considered as a mucosal manifestation of purpura fulminans. Blood culture and cerebrospinal fluid polymerase chain reaction were positive for Neisseria meningitidis.
Aim of the study was to find answers to the following questions: What haemodynamic changes may occur in patients with stenotic, aneurysmal, dissection of the carotid artery and its branches? How do ...these changes differ in patients with normal and carotid disease?
In order to achieve this aim, the cranio-cervical CT angiography images of patients who were referred to our clinic for any reason and received the diagnosis of carotid stenosis, carotid dissection, and extra or intracranial aneurysm were reviewed retrospectively.
Significant differences were detected in the carotid arteries of normal patients and those with aneurysm and dissection. When normal and aneurismal patients were compared, right and left ICA diameters (
= 0.000,
= 0.002, respectively), total ICA diameters (
= 0.000), carotid left Ø diameters (
= 0.026), right and left total Ø diameters (
= 0.024), and Murray's and our cosine values of Ø angles (
= 0.001 and p = 0.022, respectively) were found to be different. Also, in a comparison made between normal patients and patients with dissection, right CCA (
= 0.000), ICA (
= 0.001), ECA (
= 0.004) diameters, total CCA (
= 0.001), ICA (
= 0.009), and ECA (
= 0.003) diameters were also found to be different.
This study showed that the presence of aneurysm plays an important role in the remodelling of the carotid arteries. Also, it is understood that Murray's laws are still valid for the detection of structural deterioration in carotid artery diseases. Hence, it is believed that these data can be used in artificial intelligence studies.

BACKGROUNDDespite the lack of supporting data, many clinics perform sheath removal 4-6 hours after femoral percutaneous coronary intervention to reduce the risk of possible access site complications. ...This study aims to examine the effects of sheath removal immediately after the procedure on access site complications and patient comfort. METHODSThis prospective study included 349 patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention via the femoral site and 6 French guiding catheters. The sheath in the early group was removed immediately after the procedure without checking the activated clotting time levels but after 4 hours in the late group. Access site complications were recorded and patient comfort was evaluated using the Visual Analog Scale. RESULTSPatients were divided into 2 groups: patients in the early removal group (n=171) and in the late removal group (n= 178). There was no statistically significant difference between the 2 groups in terms of access site complications. Three patients in the early removal group and 4 patients in the late removal group developed a hematoma. Six patients in the early removal group and 10 patients in the late removal group showed ecchymosis.TheVisualAnalogScalescorewas statistically significantly lower intheearly removal group compared with that in the late removal group 2 (1-3) vs. 3 (2-4), P < .001. CONCLUSIONThis study shows that immediate sheath removal is safe and more comfortable for patients with percutaneous coronary intervention who received weightadjusted dose of heparin, regardless of the percutaneous coronary intervention levels after the procedure.

A new coronavirus outbreak called COVID-19 started in December 2019. In Turkey, the first case was reported on 10 March 2020. In this article, information will be given about the patient and staff ...management and organization that we have implemented in the Radiology Department of our hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. The rules we followed were: 1- Performing the examinations of COVID-19 patients and suspects with a CT device isolated from other patients; 2- Reducing the unnecessary workload in imaging modalities other than CT, emergency radiography, and emergency ultrasonography; 3- Directing and managing patients and their relatives in accordance with the mask and distancing rules; 4- Disinfecting the device with an appropriate disinfectant after each patient in order to prevent cross-contamination; 5- Protecting the entire technician team from infection by employing one week work, two weeks off shifts of fixed teams; 6- Ensuring adequate ventilation of the gantry room. Adhering to the above rules, no infection spread was reported from the Radiology department and especially the COVID-19 CT unit.
Purpose – The study aims to investigate the organizational culture and organizational commitment perceptions of the university administrative staff and the relationships between their organizational ...culture and organizational commitment perceptions. In the study, firstly organizational culture and organizational commitment perceptions of the participants were described and some analysis were made to test whether these perceptions differ statistically depending on gender, education level and experience of the participants. Furthermore, the relationships between the perceptions of organizational culture and organizational commitment were examined. Design/methodology/approach – Information about the universe, sample, data collection tools and data analysis process of the research carried out in the relational screening model are given below. The data to be used in the study were collected between October and November 2019. Findings – Study results also indicated that organizational culture perceptions of the participants did not differ statistically according to the gender variable. However, organizational commitment perceptions of the participants differed statistically in terms of emotional commitment. It was observed that the participants' perceptions of organizational culture differed in the dimensions of power culture, achievement culture and support culture, while organizational commitment perceptions of the participants differed in terms of emotional commitment depending on their educational level. Finally, the total variances explained by four organizational culture dimensions were ordered as 34% for normative commitment, 20% for emotional commitment, and 8% for continuance commitment. Discussion – The conclusions reached in both this research and the previous researches show that employees perceive all four organizational culture trends at certain levels in their organizations. In the research, the descriptive findings of the participants' perceptions of organizational commitment are compared with the research findings made on this subject, and there are some similarities and differences between the findings.
