Predmet ovog rada je upotreba sekuritizacije pandemije od strane vladajućih političkih elita u cilju dobijanja političkih poena u predizbornoj kampanji u Srbiji 2020. godine, kao i posledice ovog ...procesa. Samim tim, analiza nudi drugačiju perspektivu za sagledavanje manipulacije tokom funkcionerske kampanje korišćenjem analitičkog okvira teorije sekuritizacije, uz dodatak teorije uokviravanja. Tako će sa analitičkog stanovišta obraditi sve osnovne elemente sekuritizacije pandemije, dok će normativni deo poslužiti za ispitivanje etičnosti, odnosno opravdanosti ove sekuritizacije. Krajnji zaključak rada je da je sekuritizacija pandemije bila u funkciji promocije lidera i vladajuće političke partije u Srbiji, a ne stvarne borbe za bezbednost građana.

Associative memory plays a key role in everyday functioning, but it declines with normal ageing as well as due to various pathological states and conditions, thus impairing quality of life. Associative memory enhancement via neurostimulation over frontal areas resulted in limited success, while posterior stimulation sites seemed to be more promising. We hypothesized that anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) of parietal areas would lead to higher performance in associative memory due to high connectivity between posterior parietal cortex (PPC) and hippocampus. Forty-two healthy adults participated in two sham-controlled cross-over experiments. Anodal electrode (20 min, 1.5 mA) was placed over P3 in Experiment 1 and over P4 in Experiment 2. During tDCS participants played a simple computer game. After each stimulation session, participants completed parallel forms of an associative memory task (Experiment 1: face-word memory; Experiment 2: object-location memory) and a control task (verbal fluency). In both experiments, associative memory was improved after anodal stimulation compared to sham stimulation, while no differences were observed in the control task. Additionally, memory performance was higher in the second than in the first trial, but the increase in performance between the two trials did not differ between stimulation conditions. It can be concluded that a single-session anodal tDCS over posterior parietal cortex can improve associative memory performance. The specificity, robustness, and reproducibility of the effect suggest that PPC is a promising target for brain stimulation aiming to enhance memory functions.
The olive fruits are rich source of oil, vitamins, minerals, organic acids and pigments. The fruits contain high level of bioactive compounds. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of heat ...treatment on tocopherols, total phenolics and antioxidant activity in green and black olives, as well as their fatty acid composition. The instrumental methods used in this experiment were high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC/FID) and spectrophotometric methods. The results revealed that the β+γ-tocopherols content after the heat treatment had the biggest reduction, which was 68.4% for green and 80.2% for black olives. Also, a significant loss of total phenolic content was observed after heat treatment in green and black olives by 18.6% and 18.4%, respectively, as well as antioxidant activity (decrease up to 28.1%). The most abundant fatty acids in green and black olives were oleic (C18:1), palmitic (C16:0) and linoleic acid (C18:2). The changes in fatty acids composition during the heat treatment occurred mostly at the level of polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially linolenic acid (C18:3) in black olives had the significant reduction (by 57.4%) in relation to the initial quantity.
Memory enhancement is one of the most challenging issues in neurorehabilitation. Memory functions are affected by different neurological conditions as well as by normal aging. Recent data suggest ...that it may be possible to improve performance on some of the memory tests by physiological modulation of the activity within a neural loop which plays crucial role in formation and maintenance of the associative memory, the main parts of which are the hippocampus and the lateral parietal cortex.
To examine whether anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) over right parietal cortex would have an effect on associative memory between objects and locations.
Ten healthy right-handed participants (5 male, age 20–28) were enrolled in a cross-over placebo-controlled study. We applied 20-min anodal or sham tDCS of 1.5mA over the P4 site of 10–20 EEG system, and participants completed a object-location test immediately after, as well as 24h, and 7days after stimulation. Object-location test consisted of recognition and recall task.
For recall task the repeated measures ANOVA showed significant main effect of stimulation (F(1,9)=6.32,p<.05,η2=.41), main effect of time (F(2,18)=3.48,p=.05,η2=.28), as well as interaction effect (F(2,18)=4.57,p<.05,η2=.34). On the other hand no significant effects were observed on recognition task.
The results indicate that single tDCS session over parietal cortex has a potential to improve delayed recall of object-location associations.
The importance of physical activity (PA) for the psychological well-being of children is well documented. COVID-19 lockdown implied a severe reduction in organized and unorganized PA. Our goal was to ...examine how parents perceive their children's PA and their own PA related behaviours during the first month of COVID-19 lockdown in Serbia compared to the usual circumstances, to investigate the relationship between parents' evaluations of PA and children's PA level during the lockdown, and to examine the relationship between children's PA level and changes in psychological well-being and daily routines. The sample included 127 parents of preschool and school children. We constructed a questionnaire assessing sociodemographic information, parents' ratings of children's PA, their own children's PA-related behaviours, their evaluations of children's PA engagement before and during the lockdown, and their perception of psychological well-being and daily routines of their children during the lockdown. Results showed that the amount of daily PA in children decreased during the lockdown, especially the organized forms, which indicated that online PA programs have failed to replace regular PE classes and sports training. Also, parents valued regular forms of organized PA more than their online counterparts. We confirmed the relationship between parental evaluations and children's PA and showed that it depends on the specific aspect of PA the parents valued. Parents perceived that changes in children's psychological well-being and daily routines during the lockdown were of moderate intensity. PA frequency was related to attention, mood swings and PC and TV use. Our study offers several practical recommendations for children's PA in restrictive circumstances.
Introduction/Objective. The purpose of this study was to compare polypropylene and silk suture materials in terms of bacterial adherence and clinical features including the impact on soft tissue ...healing. Methods. Ten healthy patients were included in this study. Unilateral upper and lower wisdom teeth were extracted at the same time and wounds were sutured with different threads (one monofilament ? polypropylene ? and one multifilament ? silk suture). Stitches were removed seven days postoperatively. Real-time polymerase chain reaction was used to analyze bacterial adherence. Intraoperative handling and ease of removal were assessed with the help of Visual Analogue Scale. Landry healing index was used for evaluation of soft tissue healing. Results. Significantly more pronounced bacterial adherence was found on silk compared to polypropylene sutures (p = 0.005). Superior intraoperative handling properties were registered suturing with polypropylene compared to silk (p = 0.005). Soft tissue healing was significantly better around polypropylene sutures, both on the third and the seventh postoperative day (p = 0.016). Patient discomfort was slightly higher for polypropylene sutures, but without statistical significance. Conclusion. Polypropylene suture material showed significantly lower bacterial adherence and superior clinical features compared to silk, including better soft tissue healing.
Articulation disorder is a developmental disorder that manifests in the early development period. It may occur due to a primary disorder such as anatomical deviations and sensory disorders, but they ...can also exist without any clear cause as a specific articulation disorder, most often related to the immaturity of oral praxis. The aim of this paper is to determine the frequency of articulation disorders and its relationship with oral praxis in preschool children. The sample consisted of preschool age children, of both sexes, with typical development (N=60).The quality of voice pronunciation was determined based on the Triage Articulation Test, while oral praxis was examined using the Oral Praxis Test. It was found that a large number of the examined children have a disorder in the pronunciation of one or several voices. A statistically significant correlation was found between immature oral praxis and articulation disorders (r=0.364; p=0.004).Although there is a significant association between articulation disorder and immature oral praxis, without evaluating other possible causes, it cannot be confidently asserted that immature oral praxis is the cause of developmental articulation disorder.
