U razdoblju 1953.-1977. osmislio je 15 vrtića, škola, gimnazija i fakulteta, uglavnom u Zagrebu i okolici, s nekoliko ekskursa drugdje u Hrvatskoj i Jugoslaviji (Nova Gradiška, Kutina, Zenica, Sarajevo, Skopje).
Aleksandar Dragomanović produced a respectable oeuvre of approximately a hundred works of architecture of which his educational buildings (designed mostly in collaboration with R. Nikšić and E. Šmidihen) are generally regarded as fine examples of this typology. Between 1953 and 1977 he designed 15 kindergartens, schools, high schools and higher education buildings mostly in Zagreb and its surroundings with a few examples elsewhere in Croatia and former Yugoslavia. The examples of this typology are based on standardized modular concepts while their design shows inclinations towards structuralism and brutalism.
The article examines different viewpoints on the museum’s role in the transformation of urban identity. The review of existing research aimed at mapping and exploring the museum-city interaction and ...its features throughout history. The selected studies were categorized and analysed according to the field they cover (urbanism and architecture, economy, sociology and museology). The analysis has shown that the interaction between the museum and the city can be traced throughout history and that it experienced its first rise in the mid- 1970s with the construction of the Pompidou Centre, and then in the late 20th and early 21st century, influenced by modern phenomena of globalization and migration. Due to the new way of interaction, museums have changed their architecture and purposes, repositioning themselves as a new tool for urban transformation. A tentative conceptual framework and methodology were set up based on research literature to evaluate the interaction between the museum and the city. Further research is necessary to explore and define those interactions and tools that will encourage the role of European museums in promoting and transforming urban areas.
The paper presents a preliminary analysis of the catering and tourist complex in Kupari, Župa Dubrovačka. The accommodation facilities are studied in the context of the spatial development of the area from the first investment program (1958) until the beginning of the war (1991) with emphasis on the original concept and urban-planning features. The research is a contribution to the preservation and protection of the modernist architecture legacy.
Uses the journal 'Arhitektura' as an insight into the development of trends in aesthetics and graphic design in Croatia. In the 1950s, the political ideology of Yugoslavia was intended to be ...reflected in arts and culture; the state was the main client for architects, producing mass housing and industrial plants. Economic reforms and urban growth in the mid-1960s brought discussions of well-designed living spaces, while high demand for development led also to futuristic concept projects realised only on paper. Architectural journals promoted a synthesis of industrial design with architecture, disseminating ideas of design and a comprehensive vision of Modernism. Ultimately, however, the architecture produced satisfied political requirements for quantity of houses and factories produced, without achieving quality.

Naglašen utjecaj u struci ostavio ...je visokom kvalitetom i brojnošću poslovnih i uredskih zgrada - ukupno šesnaest u nekoliko gradova onodobne Jugoslavije (Zagreb, Rijeka, Beograd, Zrenjanin) i u drugim zemljama (npr.
Aleksandar Dragomanović (1921-1996) was one of the key figures of Croatian post-war architecture. His prolific body of works comprises more than one hundred projects and built realizations. He exerted a profound influence on the a rchitectural profession with his high-quality designs for office buildings - a total of 16 in several cities of ex Yugoslavia (Zagreb, Rijeka, Beograd, Zrenjanin) and some other countries (Algeria). His design vocabulary regarding this specific architectural type is clearly marked by a rational and functional approach, innovative structural and technological solutions, and an aesthetic minimalism.
The exceptional oeuvre of the architect Boris Magas has never been systematically exhibited nor presented in any comprehensive monograph. However, the book that has been published recently testifies ...to the original intention of its authors Ariana Stulhofer and Hrvoje Vukic: to write the first complete publication dedicated to the most memorable segment of Magas's architecture. They presented 13 major projects in the area of sports architecture in chronological sequence. Magas's favourite theme was obviously the architecture of the stadia ranging from his world-famous seminal project in Split to his unbuilt projects in Zagreb, Rijeka and Dubrovnik (along with just one swimming pool). Special emphasis is given to Poljud Stadium with an in-depth and systematic analysis of the events surrounding this project that ranks as Magas's most impressive achievement in the area of his sports realizations. Parts of the book are dedicated to a contextual and critical evaluation of Magas's oeuvre showing a line of major influences with special reference to his professor and mentor Vladimir Turina.
