It is researched that low temperature preparing process of thin film phosphors by laser annealing. Using phosphor is SrGa_2S_4:Eu^<2+>. Preparing process is that Ga_2S_3:Eu (1mol%) and SrS:Eu (2mol%) ...pellets were evaporated by two electron beams, and deposited on substrates. After deposition, pre-annealing at 500℃ is carried out, then Nd:YAG (355nm) laser is irradiated. In this study, to consider the preparation mechanism of SrGa_2S_4:Eu^<2+> by 355nm laser annealing, spectral transmittance of SrS:Eu and Ga_2S_3:Eu thin films were measured, and simulation of thermal distribution was carried out. At 355nm, transmittance of SrS is higher than Ga_2S_3, and according to simulation result, it was guessed that Ga_2S_3 absorbed laser energy mainly and heated. SrGa_2S_4:Eu^<2+> thin films were prepared by 355nm laser at 10Hz change from 8kHz, to know the relationship between laser frequency and influence to preparation of thin film by laser annealing. On 10Hz laser annealed samples have very few luminance, and it was found that these are almost amorphous by XRD result. It is guessed that laser of low frequency can not obtain hearings on each pulse, due to wide pulse length.
レーザアニールを用いた薄膜蛍光体の低温作製技術について研究を行っている。蛍光体にSrGa_2S_4:Eu^<2+>を用いており、Ga_2S_3:Eu(1mol%),SrS:Eu(2mol%)の二つのペレットを二元電子ビームにより蒸着させ、プレアニール(500℃)後Nd:YAG(355nm)レーザアニールを行い薄膜を作製している。本研究では355nmレーザによって薄膜が結晶化されるメカニズムを考察するため、SrS:Eu,Ga_2S_3:Eu薄膜の分光透過率を測定し、これを元に熱伝導方程式を用いたシミュレーションを行った。355nmにおける透過率はGa_2S_3よりSrSの方が大きく、レーザエネルギー吸収による熱発生の割合はGa_2S_3の方が大きいという結果がシミュレーションより得られた。このことよりレーザアニール中Ga_2S_3が主にレーザ光を吸収、発熱し、その熱が伝わりSrGa_2S_4が結晶化されたものと考えられる。また、レーザアニールに対し発振周波数がどのように寄与しているか調べるため、周波数を8kHzから10Hzへと変更した試料を作製した。10Hzレーザアニールの試料はほとんど発光を示さず、XRD測定結果からアモルファスであることが分かった。これは低周波数のレーザではパルス間の時間が長いため、吸収による温度の上昇がパルス毎に加算されなかったためだと考えられる。
ZnAl_2O_4 phosphor which shows ultra violet emission under the electron beam excitation has been investigated for the ultra violet emitting devices. In this work, we investigated the dependence of ...structure and the luminescence of ZnAl_2O_4 phosphor on firing condition which prepared by solid-phase reaction. The structure and the luminescence properties of the ZnAl_2O_4 were drastically changed by the firing conditions (firing temperature, atmosphere, and ZnO/α-Al_2O_3 molar ratio, etc.). From the results of XRD, PLE and CL measurements, it is thought that ZnAl_2O_4 has a bandgap of about 7eV and the UV emission is caused by oxygen vacancy and the energy level caused by Zn excess in the crystal.
電子線励起によって紫外発光を示すZnAl_2O_4は新規紫外発光デバイス用蛍光体として期待されている.本稿では固相合成法により作製したZnAl_2O_4の構造及び発光の焼成条件依存性について調べた.作製されたZnAl_2O_4の構造や発光は,焼成時の温度,雰囲気,ZnOモル比といった焼成条件に顕著に依存する傾向が示され,XRD,PLE,CL等の結果からZnAl_2O_4のバンドギャップが約7eVであり,紫外発光は酸素欠陥と過剰添加Znによる準位であると推察した.
Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) powders have been fabricated by a chemical vapor method aiming at its application for the UV phosphors. The purposes of this study are the optimization of synthesis ...conditions and the characterization of luminescence properties of h-BN. The dependence of synthesis conditions on the powder properties has been examined by changing mainly flow rates of gases with a reaction temperature kept at 1800℃ during synthesis. The X-ray diffraction measurement has revealed that the samples include amorphous or the other unknown phase. On the other hand, the sample showing the band edge emission in the wavelength region of 215〜240nm has been fabricated although the cathodoluminescence spectrum is dominated by the impurity-related band in 300〜350nm.
六方晶窒化ホウ素(h-BN)の紫外発光蛍光体への応用に着目し、BCl_3およびNH_3を原料とする化学気相法を用いてh-BN粉末の作製を行った。目的は、高品質なh-BN粉末を合成するためのプロセスの探索と、発光制御に関する知見を得ることである。実験では、反応温度を1800℃で一定とし、主として原料およびN_2キャリアガスの流量を変化させることで特性の合成条件依存性を調べた。X線回折測定からは、試料はアモルファスまたは異相を合む状態であることがわかった。一方、発光特性に関しては、カソードルミネッセンススペクトルにおいて300〜350nmに現れる不純物発光が支配的であるものの、215〜240nmのバンド端発光を示す試料を作製することができた。
Structure and photoluminescence properties of ZnCdO particles by high pressurized firing has been investigated for the preparation of multi-layered ZnO/ZnCdO/ZnO particles, for which lower ...temperature process is preferred to prevent thermal diffusion between the layers. As the result, the intensity of the excitonic emission was increased and the emission from the oxygen vacancies was suppressed.
ZnOは,ワイドバンドギャップ材料であり,室温での高効率発光が期待できることから,発光材料として広く研究されている.加えてCdOとの混晶化によりバンドギャップが制御可能であることから,混晶化を利用した量子井戸構造を粒子に組み込むことで,発光効率の大幅な向上が期待される.本研究では,構造粒子の発光層となるZnCdOの粒子を加圧焼成により作製,評価を行った.圧力を上げることで結晶性の向上が見られた.発光特性は,焼成圧力を高くすることで,酸素欠損による欠陥の発光は大きく抑制され,同時に励起子発光は大幅に増大した.この効果は,Cd原料を入れた試料に顕著に見られることから,Cd原料が高圧化で酸素欠損を抑制する働きをし,励起子発光を増大させる要因となったと考えられる.
In this study, We have been prepared the SrGa_2S_4:Eu thin film phosphors. Preparation of the SrGa_2S_4:Eu needs high temperature annealing. But an ordinary substrate can't stand high temperature ...over 600℃. We use the laser annealing method, in order to solve this problem. In the before study, KrF excimer laser (248nm) was used for beam source. It was difficult to achieve good emission properties by this method. In the present study, Nd:YAG laser (355nm) was used, and we analyzed effect of this change. Two pellets, Ga_2S_3:Eu (1mol%) and SrS:Eu (2mol%) are deposited by two Electron Beams (EB) evaporation system. After deposited, high temperature annealing (850℃) and laser annealing after pre-annealing (500℃) were carried out. On the latter method samples showed SrGa_2S_4 phase by XRD, and green emission peaked at 533nm based on Eu^<2+> ion in SrGa_2S_4. Therefore, it was found that high-luminance SrGa_2S_4:Eu thin film can be prepared on low temperature lower than 600℃. On the CL luminance, it was showed 18,000cd/m^2 higher than the high temperature annealing sample under excitation with 10kV, 60μA/cm^2. This result showed the strong improvement of emitting properties was achieved.
本研究ではSrGa_2S_4:Eu薄膜蛍光体の作製を行っている。作製には850℃程度の熱処理が必要であるが、通常のガラス基板では600℃以上の高温に耐えられないため熱処理の低温化が必要であり、解決策として我々はレーザアニールを用いている。以前はレーザ光源にKrFエキシマレーザ(248nm)を使用していたが、発光特性の向上が難しく、今回はNd:YAGレーザの三倍波(355nm)を用いて実験を行い、その効果を調べた。Ga_2S_3:Eu(1mol%),SrS:Eu(2mol%)の二つのペレットを二元電子ビームにより蒸着させ、その後高温プロセスとして高温熱アニール(850℃)、低温プロセスとしてプレアニール(500℃)後レーザアニールを行った。後者の方法においてもSrGa_2S_4相が形成され、CL測定においてSrGa_2S_4中のEu^<2+>戸に起因する530nmにピークを持つ緑色発光が観測された。これらのことからレーザ光の波長の選択により低温プロセスでも高輝度のSrGa_2S_4:Eu薄膜蛍光体が形成されることが分かる。10kV、60μA/cm^2の電子線励起下で18,000cd/m^2のCL輝度が得られた。これは高温プロセスに匹敵する輝度である。
Liquid phase synthesis of ZnCdO powder under the high-pressure conditions has been investigated for the preparation of multi-layered ZnO/ZnCdO/ZnO particles, for which lower temperature process is ...preferred to prevent inter-diffusion between the layers. The results, has shown that high-pressure firing is highly effective in terms of suppression of defects, leading to the enhancement of exciton emission.
ZnOは,バンドギャップの広い材料として,発光デバイスの分野において盛んに研究されている.又,ZnOはCdOとの混晶化によって,バンドギャップの制御が可能であることに着目し,この混晶を用いることで,多層構造粒子とすることで蛍光体の発光特性改善に有効であると期待している.本研究では高圧力下で液相合成によりZnCdO粒子の作製をおこなった.高圧力下で焼成したZnCdO混晶粒子からの励起子発光の強度は,圧力を加えず焼成した試料に比べ非常に改善された。同時に,高温での焼成で見られた酸素欠損による欠陥の発光も大きく抑制された.これは水を用いて圧力を加えたことで,酸素の欠損を補う効果が得られた,又は圧力を加えたことで低温でのプロセスで合成することが出来たためだと考えられる。
ZnAl_2O_4:Mn is known as green phosphor which emits luminescence of high color purity. We have investigated the effects of synthesis parameters on the properties of the phosphor prepared by solid ...phase method in order to improve the luminescent characteristics. The properties of the sample strongly depended on reduction temperature and Zn content in starting materials. The brightness and color purity changed with the reduction temperature probably due to variation in Mn^<2+> concentration and crystal structure of ZnAl_2O_4 respectively. It was also found that Zn content in starting materials influenced the trend.
ZnAl_2_O_4:Mnは,高色純度の緑色発光を示す蛍光体として知られている.この蛍光体の発光特性を向上させるために,本研究ではZnO,Al_2O_3,MnCl_2を原料とする固相法を用いて試料を合成し,合成パラメータが蛍光体の特性に及ぼす効果について調べた.試料の結晶性および発光特性は,還元温度および原料中のZn含有割合に大きく依存した.還元温度を変化させた場合,発光強度およびスペクトル幅が変化したが,その原因はMn^<2+>の比率および母体結晶の構造が変化したためと考えられる.また,原材料中のZn含有割合も,これらの傾向に大きな影響を与える要因であることを示した.
There has been increasing interest in hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN), which shows UV emission at 215nm. Aiming at the application of this material as powder phosphors, we have investigated the effect ...of the annealing condition at various atmospheres (N_2, H_2, NH_3 and O_2) on its UV emission. The intensity of the 320nm emission band decreased with the annealing at more than 1200℃ in a vacuum. It also decreased in the H_2 and NH_3 atmosphere, while increased by the annealing at 900℃ in the O_2 atmosphere.
六方晶窒化ホウ素(h-BN)の粉末蛍光体応用に着目し,発光制御に関する知見を得ることを目的として,紫外発光に対する真空中および各種ガス(N_2,H_2,NH_3およびO_2)雰囲気中での熱処理の効果について調べた.カソードルミネッセンスにより評価を行った結果,熱処理を行わない試料の発光は,320nm付近を中心とする発光バンドが支配的であった.この発光の強度は,真空中では1200℃を超える熱処理により著しく減少した.また,H_2およびNH_3雰囲気中1200℃の熱処理によっても,この発光は減少した.一方,O_2雰囲気中では,900℃の熱処理により大幅に増加した.以上の結果より,320nm帯の発光には酸素が関与していると推測される.
