In this research, we applied a full‐potential linearized muffin‐tin orbital (FP‐LMTO) method to investigate the optoelectronic properties such as electronic structures and optical properties in the ...first phase, and then we try to improve the thermoelectric performance through the substitution by an element alkaline earth metal (Mg). The analysis of band structure and optical properties indicate a semiconductors character with wide directly band gap along alkaline earth metal element (Mg) substitution. The present comprehensive analyses of electronic and optical properties of these alloys predict that they could be useful for optoelectronic devices. Thermal parameters such as thermal conductivity and power factor show good improvement for very small substitutions; this tells me that our material has a ZT close to promising alloys in thermoelectric applications. This result encourages going deep in order to obtain good thermoelectric performance at high temperature which requires adjusting the concentration of carriers, thermal conductance and the amount of Mg. At the end, Mg doped ZnSe is a favorable material for both optoelectronic and thermoelectric application.
Good performance optoelectronic materials to high‐performance thermoelectric materials.
Equity crowdfunding provides entrepreneurs and founders the opportunity to raise funds from a large number of potential investors, using quality signals to influence their investment decisions. ...Drawing from the lens of signaling theory and the elaboration likelihood model, this study explores the role of successive equity crowdfunding rounds as a quality signal in shaping investors' preferences in crowdfunded firms and its influence on their investment decisions. Our findings reveal that successive equity crowdfunding rounds serve as quality signals, modeling investors' preferences and thereby resulting in a high magnitude of success factors. The successive round is a strong quality signal that has a positive and significant impact on investors' investment decisions in subsequent equity crowdfunding rounds. The increasing preferences of investors due to the successive round augments the magnitude of success factors and helps entrepreneurs in successfully achieving large funding targets, high overfunding, and attracting a large number of investors in subsequent equity crowdfunding campaigns, even with a low level of equity offering.

Abstract
When the unit circle is taken as a sample space, the circular data manifest in different aspects of real life. Minh and Farnum (2003) used a stereographic projection to generate new ...probability distributions on real line 1. Here, we present an asymmetric distribution called Stereographic generalized inverse Weibull distribution (SGIWD) to represent circular data with focus on the inverse Stereographic Projection. The graph of probability density function is done. We consider here some statistical properties of SGIW distribution, survival and reverse hazard functions, the rth raw moments function, trigonometric moments, stress-strength reliability model, Tsallis, Renyi Shannon entropies and the Kullback–Leibler divergence measure. A simulation study is conducted to evaluate the behavior of the maximum likelihood method to estimate parameters of SGIWD.

Sb alloys show half-metallic ferromagnetic behavior with a spin polarization of 100% at the Fermi level. The total magnetic moments are 3 μB for all compounds and the interaction is antiferromagnetic between Cr–Sb and Sb–In sites. These materials are half-metallic ferromagnets, and they can be potential candidates for spintronic applications.

A Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET) is a type of field effect transistor; the operation is based on the effect of an electric field applied to the metal-oxide-semiconductor ...structure, i.e., to the gate electrode. It is an essential electronic component, especially in the microelectronics industry. Since the invention of the integrated circuit, the principal growth vector of the silicon microelectronics industry has been the miniaturization of MOSFETs. To minimize the undesirable effects (for example leakage current) due to the miniaturization of MOSFETs, several solutions have been used to improve the performance of MOSFETs. Among these solutions is the use of new high permittivity gate oxides (for example, HfO2 oxide). A nanoscale MOSFET is a complex electronic device, and the simulation of nanoscale devices therefore needs new theories and modeling techniques (for example, artificial intelligence). The Genetic Algorithms (GAs) are adaptive metaheuristic algorithms based on the evolutionary ideas (Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs)) of natural selection and genetics. GAs are used to generate high-quality solutions to optimization and search problems by relying on genetic operators such as selection, crossover and mutation. This paper describes advanced modeling (optimization), simulation and parameter extraction of nanoscale MOSFETs (HfO2 oxide) using a GA approach. The electrical characteristics of MOSFETs are predicted according to different parameters (drain current, drain voltage, gate voltage, channel length, oxide thickness).

bulk alloys. The calculations are conducted using full-potential ...linear-augmented-plane-wave plus local-orbital (FP-LAPW + lo) method within the revised generalized gradient approximation of Perdew–Burke–Ernzerhof (GGAPBEsol). This method is used to find more valuable equilibrium structural parameters than the simplest approximations of PBE and local density approximation (LDA). The obtained structural properties appear to be affected by the relaxation effect, and all alloys are thermodynamically favorable to the process according to the enthalpy of formation calculations. of + 0.09 Å and + 0.19 Å for relaxed structures. The thermodynamic quantities, namely the entropy, the constant volume, the pressure heat capacity (Cv and Cp) and Debye temperature, are computed for different S/(S + Se) atomic ratios by varying temperature from 0 K to 1000 K. These quantities are successfully obtained by using the combined approach of FP-LAPW and a quasi-harmonic model. Overall, there is good agreement between our calculated quantities and other results.
Aims
Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a disabling extra-pyramidal side effect (EPSE) associated with long-term antipsychotic medication, with an incidence rate of 5% per year of typical antipsychotic ...exposure. The Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) is a validated tool for screening for TD and its use is recommended every 3–6 months in those taking antipsychotics. Atypical antipsychotics present a lower risk and have contributed to complacency in monitoring and treatment. The primary aim of this audit was to establish whether AIMS was completed for all patients taking regular antipsychotic medication for three months or more. Secondary aims were to investigate whether patients were informed about EPSEs on initiation, titration and change of antipsychotics, and whether they were assessed for the emergence of side effects during subsequent clinical reviews.
Method
This single-site audit examined the care of inpatients on Ward 4 of the Becklin Centre, a male working-age acute psychiatric ward, between 1st November 2020 and 31st January 2021. Patients aged 18–65 years who were prescribed regular antipsychotics were eligible for inclusion. Exclusion criteria included the presence of other neurological movement disorders. 50 patients were included. Data collection took place between 8th February and 6th March 2021; this involved reviewing patient records throughout their inpatient stay on Care Director, an electronic patient record system. Results were compiled using a pre-determined data collection tool and analysed using Microsoft Excel.
Result
For 14 (28.0%) patients there was documented evidence of the provision of verbal information surrounding EPSEs during initiation or change of antipsychotics, and 12 (24.0%) received written or verbal information about wider side effects. For 19 (38.0%) there was a documented assessment of side effects during clinical review following the initiation or change of antipsychotic medication. Of the 33 patients who took antipsychotics for over three months, 3 (9.1%) received an AIMS assessment.
Conclusion
An inadequate proportion of inpatients prescribed long-term antipsychotics were assessed for TD, likely due to a lack of awareness of the relevant guidance. A substantial number of patients were not informed about side effects, suggesting an element of medical paternalism. This study provides opportunity to improve practice by educating the medical workforce and raising awareness of TD symptoms amongst the wider team. Valbenazine is a new FDA-approved treatment for adults with tardive dyskinesia, representing a further avenue for management. Greater focus on patient involvement, and communication surrounding anticipated side effects, is likely to benefit compliance with treatment and improve the doctor-patient relationship.
