Ethnic and religious unity is a thing that every country wishes for not exempting Malaysia. Tolerance among the population is very much expected to achieve this. Nevertheless, ethnic and religious ...diversity in Malaysia is often seen as a challenge for realizing tolerance and thus creating unity. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the barrier factors for ethnic and religious tolerance while at the same time identifying proposals for improvement measures to tolerance among the community. Hence, the Focus Group Discussion or FGD study design was used by involving 20 Malay youth informants as information providers. As a result of the analysis it can be concluded that there are six themes that exist as a barrier factor to ethnic and religious tolerance, namely (i) social gap; 38.06 percent, (ii) political debate; 16.42 percent, (iii) religious differences; 16.42 percent, (iv) economic inequality; 11.94 percent, (v) rights and constitution; 11.94 percent, and (vi) primordial sentiment; 5.22 percent. Meanwhile, in addressing the problem of ethnic and religious tolerance, the informants also proposed four perspectives on improvement measures i.e. (i) social empowerment; 71.19 percent, (ii) political role; 15.25 percent, (iii) the rule of law; 10.17 percent, and (iv) maintaining the image of Islam; 3.39 percent. The issues are important to be scrutinized because the practice of good ethnic and religious tolerance can unite the community, thereby driving the stability and progress of the country.

The objective of the study is to assess the ...effects of using the Stroop test of biofeedback protocol in order to evaluate individual level of discipline. A clinical study has been conducted on 50 participants which is the participants is a undergraduate student from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, who were divided into two groups. First group is students get high achiever and second group is students get low achierver in academic. The Heart Rate Variability (HRV) technique has been used in the assessment of this protocol. The findings show that there was a positive relationship between the Stroop test and the students discipline that those who excelled managed to get higher score of LF spectrum as compared to HF and VLF, while the students with lower achievement showed higher score of VLF and HF spectrum than LF. In conclusion, this test is one of the tests that can be used in increasing the level of individual discipline. Â

In the Malay ...Archipelago, Taj al-Salatin manuscript (1603M) is widely known as a masterpiece which highlighted leadership qualities from the Islamic perspective. This study was conducted to identify the author’s ideas on Islamic leadership in the context of Malay Archipelago, using descriptive method by analysing the manuscript. The findings showed that leaders and leadership are considered as a mandate from Allah S.W.T. Good leaders must be qualified, with higher knowledge and morals than their subjects. Taj al-Salatin introduces the idea that leaders should practice Tasawwuf, which among its practises include constant self reminder of death, rejecting lust and desires, and prioritising remembrance to Allah. In his manuscript, Bukhari al-Jauhari presents the vision, idealism and the idea of "leaders are perfect beings", which embodies the concept of Tauhid and upholds noble character for universal humanity. A leader of a nation should always stand on the grounds of good moral values and the people are led towards creating a peaceful, prosperous and happy nation. Â
Hedonisme merupakan budaya baru yang wujud kesan daripada proses globalisasi yang berlaku dengan pesat. Tujuan kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengenalpasti faktor dan kesan hedonisme ini mudah ...menyerap dalam semua peringkat umur khususnya kanak-kanak dan remaja. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif iaitu menggunakan borang kaji selidik dan 150 orang responden yang terdiri daripada mahasiswa dan mahasiswi Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia telah dipilih. Dapatan kajian dianalisa oleh pengkaji dengan membuat peratusan terhadap data yang diperoleh. Secara keseluruhan, hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat lima faktor utama penularan hedonisme ini iaitu diri sendiri, pengaruh institusi kekeluargaan, rakan sebaya, media massa dan persekitaran. Selain itu, terdapat pelbagai implikasi daripada penularan budaya ini yang boleh menganggu gugat kemaslahatan masyarakat seperti kemakmuran dan kesejahteraan negara tergugat, peningkatan terhadap kes jenayah, sikap boros dan bermewah, melahirkan masyarakat yang semakin malas serta peningkatan dalam kadar pengaganguran.
This study investigates the relationship between emotional intelligence and working remotely. Additionally, this study looks at how emotions in each of the four categories of emotional intelligence ...domain play a role in influencing Malaysian civil servants' norm of working remotely. The study sample consists of respondents from both academic and non-academic service categories. To assess the first variable, researchers who underwent instrument, face , and construct validation created the questionnaire known as the Emotional Intelligence Domain Inventory (EIDInv; Siti Sarawati Johar, 2021). The questionnaire used to measure the second variable is called the Work from Home Norm Instrument. It was adopted from the Work from Home Challenge COVID-19 Instrument (WFHI-CvdC; Siti Sarawati Johar, 2021). To determine how the four domains of emotional intelligence impact the emotional well-being of a typical homeworker, this study used regression analysis. The study's conclusions show how each variable's relationships and effects have a significant influence. This study expands our understanding of emotional and behavioral well-being in general. It provides valuable information for future researchers examining the topic from the organizational psychology perspective and its connections to the social and economic domains of the community.
This research paper mainly discusses Soeharto and his “Work Ethic†value system. It focuses on the role of local wisdom as a fundamental value that has moulded leadership character and style of ...Soeharto in Indonesia. A term during his leadership tenure was used by Soeharto to identify, list and explain the source of the dominant local wisdom. Content analysis was used as the method of analysis in to explain a series of “End of the Year Speechâ€, “Nationhood Speech†and “Party Speechâ€. Initial analysis on the speech texts showed that emphasis on values was given at every serie of the speeches delivered. Next, quotations of every paragraph in the speech texts were scrutinized for groupings of dimensions (Value Dimensions) specifically referring to Asian Values. The paragraphs of every text were recited for the final time in order to identify Derived Values originated from each of the Value Dimensions. Recordings of data were carried out by using Archive for Technology, the Life World and Everyday Language. Text Interpretation (ATLAS).ti version 7 software. It was discovered that Soeharto used his “Nationhood Speech†serie as his main medium to deliver values to his people. Value Dimension “Work Ethics†was identified as the second most important value in his delivery of messages on development. Meanwhile, Derived Values “Strong/Kind/Dilligent/Viable/Earnest†were values that frequently appeared in the dimension. At the end of this paper, an explanation on the application of these values in the leadership and development under Soeharto is obtained. In conclusion, a leader who manipulated local wisdom is capable of achieving development that is more pragmatic and effective. Reinvigorating the local wisdom is a significant factor that can catalyze a continuous development specifically in Indonesia and generally in the South East Asia.Â
The Foodbank Malaysia Foundation (YFBM) is a foundation that has been established to introduce as one of the initiative to help the underprivileged to access food which indirectly reduces the issue ...of food waste among Malaysians. Foodbank Malaysia Program has been introduced as a program to help anyone to make sure they can eat per day without any problem and this includes university students in Malaysia. Indeed, it is very important to distribute the food from the foodbank program to those university students who are in need to make sure all the underprivileged students get help from the university authorities. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to measure the level of awareness and to analyze the implementation of foodbank program among students. A total of 350 students were selected using simple random sampling method. The data were analyzed descriptively via Statistical Package for the Social Science Version 25.0 (SPSS version 25.0). Using descriptive statistics, the finding indicated that the university students had a high level of awareness about the foodbank program with a mean score value 3.61 and the result for the implementation of foodbank program among university students showed a high level with a mean score 3.99. Based on the Linear Regression Analysis results, the overall findings indicated that students’ foodbank awareness were closely related to the implementation of foodbank program in university with β=0.732
