The propensity to accept vaccines and factors that affect vaccine acceptance and hesitancy will determine the overall success of the COVID-19 vaccination program. Therefore, countries need to ...understand the factors that influence vaccine acceptance and hesitancy to prevent further future shocks, and it is necessary to have a thorough understanding of these factors. As a result, this study aims to review selected published works in the study’s domain and conduct valuable analysis to determine the most influential factors in COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and hesitancy in Ghana. The review also explored the acceptance rate of COVID-19 vaccines in Ghana. We selected published works from 2021 to April 2023 and extracted, analyzed, and summarized the findings based on the key factors that influence COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and hesitancy in Ghana, the acceptance rate in Ghana, the demographic factors that are often examined, and the study approach used to examine these factors. The study found that positive vaccination perception, safety, belief in vaccine efficacy, knowledge of COVID-19, and a good vaccine attitude influence COVID-19 vaccine acceptance in Ghana. The negative side effects of the vaccines, mistrust in the vaccine, lack of confidence in the vaccine’s safety, fear, and spiritual and religious beliefs all played significant roles in influencing COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. For this study, the COVID-19 acceptance rates observed in the reviewed articles ranged from 17.5% to 82.6%. The demographic parameters frequently included in these studies that have a significant impact include educational attainment, gender, religious affiliation, age, and marital status. The positive perceptions of the COVID-19 vaccine and concerns about its negative effects influenced Ghanaians’ acceptance and hesitancy.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is critical to an organization’s success. However, the factors that contribute to the success and usage of these ERP systems have received little attention. This study developed and validation of an improved DeLone-McLean IS success model. Additionally, we examined the factors which influence ERP system usage, employee satisfaction, information quality, service quality, and system quality, as well as the factors that influence the system’s overall success. The proposed model is based on a mixed-methods case study (MM-CS). The results show that the proposed model significantly measures the success of an ERP system. The organizational climate, the information quality, the system quality, and the service quality all have an impact on the usage of an ERP system. The proposed model also shows that the use of an ERP system, training and learning, and the three information (IS) quality constructs are all significant predictors of user satisfaction. The results also indicate that gender and years of ICT use on the path of ERP users have a moderating effect on the relationship between teamwork & support and use.
There is anecdotal evidence that third-party reproduction, in particular gamete donation, is on the rise in Ghana. This is not surprising, considering the country has adopted assisted conception ...through the use of reproductive technologies for the past three decades. These technologies primarily aid infertile couples in Ghana in fulfilling their procreative responsibilities within the Ghanaian family and society. Potential donors' opinions regarding gamete donation have received minimal attention in the Ghanaian discourse on assisted reproductive technology (ART) usage. This study explores the knowledge and attitudes of undergraduate university students regarding gamete donation. The study utilized a qualitative methodology, which included 21 in-depth telephone interviews with students who were potential gamete donors. The data were thematically analyzed. The results of the study show that the participants knew that gamete donation was performed in Ghana. Positive sentiments about the technique were motivated by altruism, whereas negative attitudes were motivated by the urge to adhere to cultural norms that stigmatize incest and children conceived by artificial means. The decision to donate or decline egg or sperm donation was significantly influenced by one's religious convictions.
Biological fathering, especially in patrilineal societies, was traditionally acceptable only in the context of marriage to the mother of the child. Many men were polygynous, often staying in one ...household with all their wives and children. However, this phenomenon has been on the decline in recent times, mainly due to Christianity, which encourages monogamy while frowning on polygyny. The Ghanaian family has for the past few years been undergoing changes due to migration, urbanization, and industrialization. With an increase in non-marital births and the dissolution of marital unions, multi-partner fertility is likely to increase. Contemporary Ghanaian perspectives on the circumstances that lead men to engage in paternal multi-partner fertility, otherwise referred to in this study as serial fathering, are scanty, hence this study examines the factors that lead to serial fathering among Ghanaian men.
The study employed the qualitative method, using in-depth interviews with twenty (20) serial fathers and a focus group discussion with seven (7) women.
It was found that factors such as the attitude of women in relationships, the duolocal post-marital residential pattern, and the age at first birth are some of the reasons why some men father children with multiple partners.
The study concludes that both situational and personal factors account for the phenomenon of serial fathering amongst men in Prampram, Ghana, and these factors bring about distinctions in serial fathering as occurring either within or outside of marriage.
Tax collection is an essential activity to boost the economy of all countries. Larger businesses and governments are increasingly relying on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, which are ...designed to enhance the collection of revenues among other things. However, the implementation of an ERP system often affects the organizational climate by changing the manner businesses are conducted from the past both internally and externally. These changes have the tendency to impact the actions of workers throughout the transition process. Nevertheless, organization climate which is an essential variable to measure the success of ERPs is mostly underutilized. Thus in this study, we proposed an information system (IS) success model that integrates organizational climate variables namely, role clarity, teamwork and support, and, training and learning into the DeLone and McLean model to evaluate the success of a tax ERP system. The proposed model was based on a quantitative and a mixed-method case study (MM-CS). Data was gathered from a top company with many branches in Ghana through interviews, observation, focus groups, and questionnaires. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was used to examine the 555 data collected from the questionnaire. The result of the study shows that the organizational climate variables (training & learning, teamwork & support, and role clarity) were statistically significant in determining the success of a tax ERP system. Training & learning and teamwork & support also had a positive impact on service quality, user satisfaction, and individual impact.

Since the advent of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) in Ghana about three decades ago, IVF and ICSI treatments have enabled infertile Ghanaian couples to fulfill their aspirations and dreams ...of having children. In this extremely pronatalist society, ART has provided relief to many childless couples by reducing, if not eliminating, the shame of childlessness that they would otherwise have to suffer. However, as the provision and utilization of ART continue to increase, so do worries regarding the ethical difficulties surrounding this field of medicine, which challenge cultural ideals and personal desires. The study explores client and service provider experiences with ART in urban Ghana. Observation and in-depth interviews were employed to collect data, and the ethical dimensions of people's experiences relative to Ghanaian cultural and ethical values were analyzed. The results show that the provision of ART services for heterosexual couples in marital unions, the availability of PGT for sickle cell clients, the preference for multiple births emerging from embryo transfers, the lower preference for cryopreservation, the high cost of ART treatment, and the need for regulation of the provision of ART services in Ghana were some of the ethical concerns expressed by both clients and service providers.
Inbound open innovation (IOI) is credited with high productivity in businesses. However, this is marred by resource and structural constraints in Ghanaian SMEs. Therefore, this study explores the ...odds of Ghanaian SMEs engaging in inbound open innovation given SMEs characteristics and IOI collaboration modes. Further, we examine the mediating effect of SMEs’ CEO characteristics in increasing or decreasing these odds. Using a sample of 657 registered SMEs’ of the Association of Ghanaian Industries, the survey data is estimated with a stepwise logistic regression model to show the multiplicative effects of the variables. The results show that the odds of engaging in inbound open innovation is higher for; SMEs located in urban areas, SMEs with partnership or company ownership structure, SMEs with research and development departments, SMEs not collaborating with universities, manufacturing SMEs, and SMEs that are relatively bigger in size. Further, these odds increase when the characteristics of CEOs of the sampled SMEs are accounted for in the model. Thus, the characteristics and traits of CEOs are only useful given the right resources and environment. Relying on the major (main) outcomes of the study further feasible suggestions are recommended.
Globally, governments are taking steps to help them increase their income generation margin by implementing tax administrative ERP systems. However, the impacts on the internal system users of these ...ERP system quality features have not drawn the attention needed. This study, therefore, examines the relationship between the information systems' (IS) quality and individual impact using the theoretical foundation of the DeLone and McLean IS success model and, secondly, addresses the interrelationships between the quality constructs of information systems (IS). The authors also used the structural equation modeling technique of partial least squares to evaluate and analyze the data. The results show that system quality, the information quality, and the service quality characteristics of the tax administrative ERP system have a strong positive impact on the success of the IS at the individual level. There is also a positive relationship between the information systems' (IS) quality construction. The results provide additional empirical observations and consequences for management.
We presented a novel method to analyze the impact tax management systems have on users (individual impact) in this study. The interrelationship among the three information system (IS) quality ...constructs is examined. The study is based on the evaluation undertaken in this paper of DeLone and Mclean's (D & M) model. Quantitative data are gathered from a related Ghanaian enterprise. The structural equation modelling of partial least squares was utilized to model the system quality, information quality, and service quality. The result of the study shows that the three quality constructs of the D & M model positively influence the users of a tax management system (individual impact). The results also show that there is a significant positive interrelation among the IS quality constructs.
