The article is devoted to the consideration of aspects related to the development of the tourism and hospitality industry in Uzbekistan and Russia. It has been established that the intensive ...development of various forms of tourism and hospitality will allow these countries to be more attractive for foreign tourists. It has been found that when developing the tourism and hospitality market Uzbekistan and Russia are advised to review prospects of its development at the international level. Promising areas of the development in the tourism and hospitality industry will be a new system of enterprise classification regulating the rating of enterprises and encouraging tourism by simplifying visa regulations, applying discounts to attract regular and potential tourists, introducing educational programs in the tourism and hospitality sector combining theory and practice, and spurring the development of all regions as potential tourist destinations.
We aimed to compare cardiovascular risk factors prevalence in Italy and Russia through cross-sectional database analysis.
The study has been based on data from ESSE-RF and from baseline of PLIC ...study, two population-based epidemiological studies aimed to investigate prevalence of risk factors and evaluating contribution of traditional and new risk factors into morbidity and cardiovascular mortality.
A total of 2203 patients with left and right intima-media thickness (IMT) measurements constituted the source population (1205 from PLIC study and 998 from ESSE-RF study). Sample of ESSE-RF study had slightly more diabetic and hypertensive individuals, while the percentage of subjects with high cholesterol value was lower than in the other sample (67.1% vs 79.9%). The median LDL-C value was higher among individuals not treated with statins in the PLIC sample (p < 0.001), while was comparable among subjects receiving statin therapy. On the other hand, the percentage of individuals with positive cardiovascular history was higher in ESSE-RF sample. This could also explain the higher mean IMT value (0.71 ± 0.17 vs 0.63 ± 0.13) in the whole sample, and among patients without past cardiovascular events (regardless of statin treatment), despite some differences in major risk factors.
Despite Russian and Italian populations are culturally and geographically different, they are not so different based on characteristics analyzed.
Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most common human neurodegenerative disorders caused by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the brain. The alpha -synuclein (SNCA) gene is one of the most ...studied genes involved in the pathogenesis of PD. In this study, the authors have conducted a genetic analysis of promoter and intron single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the SNCA gene. One of four SNPs in the SNCA gene, and the rs2736990 polymorphism, associates with the risk of the sporadic form of PD in Russian population. The risk of PD was increased almost twofold in carriers of allele C. However, no association was found between any of the genotypes of SNPs tested (rs2583988, rs2619363, rs2619364 and rs2736990) and alterations in SNCA levels. The authors findings support the hypothesis that, the rs2736990 polymorphism is associated with PD. SNPs rs2583988, rs2619363 and rs2619364 in the promoter region of the SNCA gene themselves do not significantly influence the expression of SNCA.
Since the discovery of microRNAs (miRNAs) in the 1990s, our knowledge about their biology has grown considerably. The increasing number of studies addressing the role of miRNAs in development and in ...various diseases emphasizes the need for a comprehensive catalogue of accurate sequence, expression and conservation information regarding the large number of miRNAs proposed recently in all organs and tissues. The objective of this study was to provide data on the levels of miRNA expression in 15 tissues of the normal human brain.
We conducted an analysis of the relative levels of 88 of the most abundantly expressed and best characterized miRNA derived postmortem from well-characterized samples of various regions of the brains from five normal individuals.
The cluster analysis revealed some differences in the relative levels of these miRNAs among the brain regions studied. Such diversity can be explained by different functioning of these brain regions.
We hope that the data from the current study are a resource that will be useful to our colleagues in this exciting field, as more hypotheses will be generated and tested with regard to small noncoding RNA in the human brain in healthy and disease states.
The paper presents the results of monitoring the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard of Preschool Education in the Russian Federation and makes proposals for its improvement. The ...problems of personnel, financial and material-technical equipment of preschool educational organizations in the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard of DO and the ways of their solution are described.
