COVID 19 pandemic has swiftly forced the change in the teaching from traditional to online style. Teachers have become recording and holding online sessions without enough training. Moreover, ...students have had to acclimatize to deal with this change. This paper considers the satisfaction of students and teaching staff members of adopting the e-learning technique at the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU). This study has been carried out using data collected by two types of online questionnaires for teaching staff members and students at LIMU. The data analyzed in this study is from 47 teaching staff members and 170 students. The analysis of the collected data has shown that the majority of students and teaching staff members are satisfied with the online learning style at LIMU. However, they often suffer from slow internet connections. In addition, the teaching staff members complain that the interaction with students is insufficient comparing with the face-to-face teaching style.
Abstract- It is almost impossible to produce a software system which do not need to be changed. Once the software system is put into use, new requirements may appear, and changes of the current ...features may be requested by the users. Also, parts of the software may have to be modified to avoid errors found during operation, or to improve software performance, by changing functional or non-functional characteristics. After software deployment, software usually evolve in response to requests for change or in response to market competition. Computerized maintenance management systems CMMS used to verify maintenance regulatory compliance. To control the maintenance process manually it requires a lot of effort and time. In the same time the CMMS have some challenges while covering software changes requests. This paper suggests a way and a tool for tracking and reporting software maintenance requests to cover all challenges in CMMS systems, and supporting software changes requisites more effectively.
Due to the increase in the world’s population which increased road congestion, the ambulances that carry patients have so many difficulties in getting to the hospital before the patient’s condition ...gets worse. The problem of the delayed arrival of the patient to the hospital was found globally in most countries. Especially in Libya, the problem is more complex, the ambulance services are weak, patients face problems in getting fresh blood packages, and the health system lacks an electronic health record. In this paper, a descriptive comparison is conducted to evaluate, compare, and analyze different proposed solutions. Then, a new different solution is proposed. To check the feasibility of the newly proposed solution, a survey was conducted to review the audience’s level of satisfaction with the traditional ambulance services, as well as the proposed solution, the results showed the people’s lack of trust in the current ambulance services, and their reluctance to rely on the service. However, the results also revealed the people’s acceptance of the proposed solution, and their willingness to rely on it.
The penternary chalcogenides Cu2CoSn(SeS)4 and Cu2ZnSn(SeS)4 were successfully synthesized by hot-injection method, and employed as a catalytic materials for efficient counter electrodes in ...dye-synthesized solar cells (DSSCs). The structural, compositional, morphological and optical properties of these pentenary semiconductors were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy. The Cu2CoSn(SeS)4 and Cu2ZnSn(SeS)4 nanocrystals had a single crystalline, kesterite phase, adequate stoichiometric ratio, 18-25 nm particle sizes which are forming nanospheres, and band gap energy of 1.18 and 1.45 eV, respectively. Furthermore, the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammograms indicated that Cu2CoSn(SeS)4 nanocrystals as counter electrodes exhibited better electrocatalytic activity for the reduction of iodine/iodide electrolyte than that of Cu2ZnSn(SeS)4 nanocrystals and conventional platinum (Pt). The photovoltaic results demonstrated that DSSC with a Cu2CoSn(SeS)4 nanocrystals-based counter electrode achieved the best efficiency of 6.47%, which is higher than the same photoanode employing a Cu2ZnSn(SeS)4 nanocrystals (3.18%) and Pt (5.41%) counter electrodes. These promising results highlight the potential application of penternary chalcogen Cu2CoSn(SeS)4 nanocrystals in low-cost, high-efficiency, Pt-free DSSCs.
In the information technology discipline, a graduation project is normally a compulsory task in order to fulfill the university graduation requirements. The project is usually completed within one or ...two semesters; therefore, represents a real challenge for many students as the time is limited, furthermore it expected that the students have not collected yet adequate research experience. They lack a defined plan regarding project phases and the activities involved during their research. This paper proposes a new methodology named IMGSIE which stands for Introduction, Method, Generalization, Specification, Implementation, and evaluation. It functions as a research lifecycle for structuring and organizing graduation projects. This methodology is already used, and three different questionnaires have been distributed to supervisors and students, the feedback was highly satisfactory, and positive towards the effectiveness of all students who used the methodology.
There is a noticeable increase in the number of locally developed software systems to support the growing demand for such systems, in both the private and public Libyan sectors. For most of such ...systems, the international software quality standards are not applied as part of the software development life cycle. Somehow, this affects the success and sustainability of those systems, and calls for an action to maintain and ensure user satisfaction. This paper proposes a framework derived from the ISO/IEC 9126 quality standard, aimed for measuring and evaluating locally developed software systems, taking into consideration the points of view of both the developers and users of these systems. The proposed framework was implemented as a website.
Alzheimer is one of the dementia diseases. It often infects elderly people who are beyond 65 years old. Alzheimer diagnosis (AD) relies on the analysis of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the ...scale of the clinical dementia rating (CDR). The automatic AD has widely been carried out adopting different methods. The investigation of the digital MRI samples with CDR scale has been the cornerstone of the automatic studies of AD. Those studies have resulted in various accuracy rates when they applied diverse techniques. This paper presents and compares several techniques of image normalization and classification models for improving the accuracy rates of AD. Four normalizations techniques, which is Z-score, Min-Max, Decimal Scaling and Standard deviation are examined. Whilst, the classifiers are Naïve Bayes, Logistic regression, decision tree (DT), k-nearest neighbors (kNN), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and support vector machine (SVM). The analyzed dataset involves MRI from 150 individuals and its CDR scales. The experiments of this paper has been implemented using Orange software. Although the overall accuracy rates are quite good, the best findings are 91.2% from logistic regression when it analyzed the normalized dataset using Z-score. Comparing with other studies, the results of this study have shown significant improvement based on utilizing the normalization techniques.
