Pradedantieji muzikos pedagogai pirmaisiais profesinės veiklos metais susiduria su problemomis, kurias galėtų padėti spręsti labiau patyręs pedagogas – mentorius. Mentorystė yra apibrėžiama kaip ...bendradarbiavimas, paremtas iš anksto sudarytu planu, kuris patenkina asmenybės augimo poreikius. Tai procesas, kuris yra susijęs su patirtiniu mokymusi, formuojant globojamo asmens požiūrį į pedagoginį darbą, atsakomybę ir pareigas. Mentoriaus veikla yra įvairialypė, tad jam reikalingas platus kompetencijų, žinių, vertybių, asmeninių savybių ir gebėjimų spektras. Jo kompetencijos grindžiamos ne tik profesiniais, pedagoginiais, asmeniniais, bet ir vadybiniais, suaugusiųjų mokymo ir konsultavimo bei administravimo gebėjimais. Kokybinio tyrimo metu norėta išsiaiškinti, su kokiais sunkumais ir problemomis susiduria pradedantieji muzikos mokytojai ir kas galėtų padėti jas spręsti, o kartu ir integruotis į profesinę darbo rinką. Tyrimo tikslui pasiekti buvo panaudota mokslinės ir metodinės literatūros analizė, standartizuotas atvirasis interviu. Tyrimas vyko 2020 m. balandžio mėnesį, jame dalyvavo 8 pradedantieji dirbti muzikos pedagogai. Kokybinis tyrimas atskleidė, kad daugelis pradedančiųjų muzikos pedagogų susiduria su adaptacijos laikotarpiu. Adaptacijos laikotarpiu kylančias įvairias profesines problemas – praktinės patirties trūkumą, nepakankamą drausmę klasėje, nedraugišką kolegų požiūrį, neigiamus emocinius išgyvenimus – iš dalies galėtų padėti spręsti skirtas patyręs pedagogas – mentorius. Pradedančiajam muzikos pedagogui labiausiai reikalinga pagalba yra trijose kryptyse: profesinėje (pedagoginėje ir dalykinėje), ugdytinių pažinimo ir aktyvaus ugdymo įstaigos įsitraukimo. Sėkmingai pradedančiųjų muzikos pedagogų profesinei veiklai didžiausią įtaką turi teigiamos mentoriaus savybės, tokios kaip bendravimas ir bendradarbiavimas, motyvacija, pozityvumas, lojalumas bei atsakingumas.
Straipsnyje analizuojamas reflektyvus mokymas(is), aptariami mokymo(si) taikant refleksiją lygmenys, reflektyvaus mokymo(si) metodai. Tyrimo tikslas - atskleisti būsimųjų muzikos pedagogų požiūrį į ...reflektyvaus mokymo(si) galimybes. Tyrimo tikslui pasiekti iškelti šie uždaviniai: 1) apibrėžti reflektyvaus mokymo(si) sampratą; 2) aptarti reflektyvaus mokymo(si) metodus; 3) empiriškai ištirti būsimųjų muzikos pedagogų požiūrį į reflektyvaus mokymo(si) galimybes. Tyrimo metodai: mokslinės literatūros analizė, anketinės apklausos rezultatų analizė. Tyrimas vyko 2019 m. balandžio mėnesį, kuriame dalyvavo 37 būsimieji muzikos mokytojai. Anketinės apklausos metodu buvo siekiama atskleisti būsimųjų muzikos pedagogų požiūrį į refleksijos aktualumą jų profesinio tobulėjimo procese, į veiksmingiausius refleksijoje taikomus metodus ir refleksijos taikymo galimybes muzikiniame ugdyme. Išanalizavus mokslinę literatūrą galima teigti, kad reflektyvus mokymas(is) yra procesas, kuriame patirtis paverčiama mokymusi. Reflektyvaus mokymo(si) metu galima stebėti savo asmeninį augimą ir rasti būdus tobulinti mokymo mokytis procesą. Tyrimas atskleidė, kad, pasitelkus refleksiją, analizuojant profesinę patirtį ieškoma sėkmingiausių problemos sprendimo būdų. Būsimųjų pedagogų ugdyme taikomi reflektyvaus mokymo(si) metodai užtikrina proceso individualizavimą ir asmeninio progreso įvertinimą. Sėkmingiausiai profesinė patirtis reflektuojama taikant dienoraščio rašymo, laisvosios asociacijos bei struktūruotos diskusijos metodus. Atliktas empirinis tyrimas atskleidė, kad būsimieji muzikos pedagogai mano, jog labiausiai refleksija padeda analizuoti savo mokymąsi, ugdyti kritinį mąstymą ir skatina tobulinti savo akademinius ir profesinius pasiekimus.Tiek ugdymo proceso, tiek būsimųjų muzikos pedagogų tobulėjime aktualiausias, respondentų nuomone, yra struktūruotos diskusijos metodas. Respondentai nurodė, kad refleksijos taikymas muzikiniame ugdyme leidžia mokytojui atpažinti ir įvertinti savo klaidas, moko vaikus vertinti savo muzikinius gebėjimus ir reikalauja mokytojo kūrybingumo. Tyrimas parodė, kad pedagogui, kaip nuolat besimokančiai asmenybei, reflektyvus mokymas(is) yra vienas svarbiausių veiksnių, padedančių nuolat atsinaujinti, permąstyti savo veiklą ir asmeniškai tobulėti.
The article analyses reflective learning, discusses the levels of reflective teaching/learning and its methods. The purpose of the study ̶ to reveal the attitudes of future music teachers to the ...opportunities of applying reflective teaching/learning. The following tasks were set to achieve the objective of the investigation: 1) define the concept of reflective teaching/learning; 2) discuss the methods of reflective teaching/learning; 3) empirically explore the attitudes of future music educators to the opportunities of applying reflective teaching/learning. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey. The study, carried out in April 2019, involved 37 future music teachers. A questionnaire survey was intended to reveal attitudes of future music teachers to the relevance of reflection in their professional development, views on the most effective reflection methods and the opportunities of applying reflective practices in music education. Analysis of scientific literature suggests that reflective teaching is a process where experience is transformed into learning. Practicing reflective learning, you can monitor your personal growth and find ways to improve the learning to learn process. The study revealed that the most successful solutions can be found practicing reflection, analysing teaching experiences. Reflection methods used in training and developing future teachers ensure process personalization and assessment of personal progress. The most successful methods of reflecting professional experiences are writing a diary, free associations and structured discussions. An empirical study revealed that future music teachers believe that mostly reflection helps them analyse their own learning, develops critical thinking and promotes academic and professional growth. In the respondents’ opinion, the most relevant reflection method to be used in both the education process and in future music teacher training is a structured discussion. The respondents pointed out that reflection used in music education enables the teacher to identify and assess his/her mistakes, teaches children to assess their own musical abilities, and draws on the teacher’s creativity. The study showed that reflective practices are one of the most important factors, that help the teacher, a life-long learner, consistently innovate, rethink his/her practices and contributes to personal growth.
Newly qualified music teachers, when they start their professional career, face challenges and need help from experienced teachers, mentors. Mentoring is defined as collaboration based on a ...pre-arranged plan that meets personal development needs. The process involves experiential learning in shaping the mentee’s attitude towards pedagogical work, responsibilities and duties. The mentor’s activities are very diverse, so he/she needs to possess a wide range of competences, knowledge, values, personal qualities and abilities. The mentor’s competences are based not only on professional, pedagogical, personal, but also on management, adult education, counselling and administrative skills. The aim of this qualitative research was to identify challenges and difficulties newly qualified music teachers face and measures that would help them integrate into the professional labour market. Scientific and methodological literature was analysed and a standardised open-ended interview with 8 newly qualified music teachers was carried out in April, 2020. This qualitative research revealed that the majority of newly qualified music teachers face challenges during the adaptation period. An assigned experienced teacher, a mentor, can help a newly qualified teacher overcome professional challenges: a lack of a teaching experience and of classroom management skills, unfriendly attitudes of fellow teachers, negative emotions. A newly qualified music teacher needs assistance in three areas: professional (pedagogy and subject teaching), getting to know students, active engagement in school activities. Willingness to communicate and cooperate, an ability to motivate, a positive outlook, commitment and reliability are the mentor’s characteristics that positively affect career success of a newly qualified music teacher.

The article analyses teenagers’ (13–14 years old) communication ability and functioning of the factors that influence it in extra-curricula folklore activities. Sociometric investigations have been ...employed to ground the integrity and conciseness of teenagers’ folklore groups and to survey the teenager’s status in the group. Based on the carried out theoretical analysis and the data from pupils’ interviews it has been assumed that such factors that influence teenagers’ communication ability are good psychological atmosphere – of the group, positive status of a member in a group, purposeful formation of attitudes and personal features functioning in extra-curricula folklore activities.
