Las situaciones de riesgo que se enfrentan los menores online, han sido ampliamente estudiadas desde la perspectiva del menor, pero no tanto desde la perspectiva de sus progenitores. El objeto de ...este artículo, es entender qué conocimiento tienen los progenitores sobre las situaciones de riesgo online con consecuencias desagradables para sus hijos/as como el ciberbullying. Se explora también cómo reaccionan y qué factores del contexto socio-familiar pueden influir en estas percepciones y reacciones. El análisis parte de los resultados de una encuesta realizada a familias españolas en 2019. La muestra de 850 padres y madres con hijos/as de 9-17 años, es representativa a nivel nacional. Los resultados mostraron que desde la perspectiva de las familias las situaciones de ciberbullying a los que se exponen sus hijos/as no son frecuentes, y que la inmensa mayoría de padres y madres no los perciben. El 44% de los progenitores tiene la percepción de que sus hijos/as tienen la capacidad de enfrentarse a situaciones que le molestan online, y está relacionada con la edad del menor, siendo mayor en adolescentes que en niños/as. El 83% de los progenitores se sienten muy capacitados para ayudarles ante situaciones molestas. La percepción del ciberacoso está relacionada con situaciones de conflicto que viven con sus hijos/as. Se observa una mediación inversa iniciada por los propios adolescentes, que comunican a sus progenitores situaciones desagradables sufridas online, no así entre los de menos edad, siendo los que menos comunican estas experiencias a sus progenitores y tienden a ser más monitorizados.
El propósito del artículo es analizar los principios de gestión de la calidad en estudios a distancia de universidades privadas en el estado Zulia. La investigación es descriptiva con diseño ...transeccional, no experimental y de campo. La población estuvo conformada por las universidades privadas con modalidad de estudios a distancia ubicadas en el estado Zulia. Los informantes claves fueron decanos, directores de escuelas, supervisores y coordinadores de Estudios a Distancia abordados mediante un instrumento de recolección de datos con 69 ítems relacionados directamente a la variable, dimensiones e indicadores. Este instrumento se sometió a validez por el juicio de cinco expertos y a través del método Alfa de Cronbach se obtuvo confiabilidad de 0,97. Para el análisis cuantitativo, se presentaron los resultados en tablas de frecuencias. Se concluyó que los principios de gestión de la calidad están presentes de manera muy favorable en las direcciones de estudios a distancia de universidades privadas del estado Zulia.

These findings underscore the significance of theoretical knowledge over practical experience in the news coverage of specific news topics.
Media coverage of transsexuality has increased in different parts of the world. This increase reinforces its visibility, but it can also contribute to developing, reinforcing and legitimizing ...different attitudes, such as transphobia. In order to analyze the discursive patterns on transsexuality in the Spanish digital press during the period 2000-2020, this article has conducted a quantitative content analysis. Combining manual coding (n = 1095) with rule-based text classification (N = 9922), the media delegitimization to which transsexual people are subjected has been analyzed using logistic regression and multilevel analysis. The results confirm that the newsworthiness of transsexuality in Spain has increased significantly over the first two decades of the 21st century. They also indicate that the media delegitimization of transsexuality has been significantly reduced. These findings suggest a remarkable evolution in the news media coverage of transsexuality. However, improvements are still needed. Therefore, the need to continue training and sensitizing journalists is underlined.
The newsworthiness of trans issues has increased over the last two decades, resulting in unprecedented media visibility of trans people. However, there is still a long way to go in the study of the ...Agenda Building factors that have influenced this media attention. The aim of this article is to analyze the Intermedia Agenda Setting (IAS) dynamics on the coverage of trans issues in the Spanish digital news media landscape during the period 2001–2020. A quantitative content analysis was conducted, using the Granger Causality test for both issue-salience and attribute-salience IAS dynamics between different types of news media. In general, news flows have been observed from national-to-local, from progressive-to-conservative, and from legacy-to-digital-native media at the issue-salience level. However, from 2016 onwards, progressive and conservative media influence one another. This can be attributed to the generation of an alternative agenda on trans issues by the anti-trans rights movement in recent years. As a consequence of the presence of these competing trans rights and anti-trans rights agendas, media coverage of trans issues has become polarized. In contrast, IAS dynamics at the attribute-salience level are not clear. These findings suggest IAS dynamics have played an essential role in the increasing media attention on trans people. However, the decline in the media delegitimization of trans rights cannot be attributed to IAS dynamics. This study highlights the dynamic nature of IAS, which can evolve based on the agenda and degree of eliteness of each media outlet at any given time.
The increase in media attention towards trans issues in the last two decades has contributed to reinforcing its visibility. However, the media coverage of trans minors has hardly been addressed by ...previous literature. The objective of this study is to analyze the media coverage of trans children and adolescents in the Spanish digital press during the period 2006-2020. To do that, this article has conducted a quantitative content analysis combining manual coding and rule-based text classification. The results confirm that the media coverage of trans minors has increased. Most of the analyzed delegitimization patterns of trans people have decreased over the years, although they remain relatively stable during the last period. Contrary to what could be thought, childhood and adolescence do not seem to act as a protective factor against media delegitimization. These findings suggest that trans children are at the front-page of Spanish public debate. Despite the increasing visibility of trans minors, they continue to be mistreated in the media. In fact, trans children may be even more questioned than adults. All in all, this study underlines the importance of trans minors in the news coverage of trans issues and, in extension, in the fight for trans rights.
La transexualidad se ha hecho un hueco en el imaginario colectivo español y también en los medios de comunicación. Con el objetivo de analizar la representación mediática de este hecho de diversidad ...sexual se ha analizado su presencia en los cibermedios, su preeminencia en los textos periodísticos y los asuntos que conforman su cobertura mediática. Para ello se ha realizado un análisis de contenido cuantitativo (N = 24.363) de los textos periodísticos publicados durante el período 2000-2020 por trece cibermedios generalistas españoles, recurriendo tanto a la clasificación de textos mediante un sistema de reglas como al modelado de temas no supervisado. Los resultados apuntan a un incremento de los textos periodísticos sobre la transexualidad, en el que se han distinguido tres puntos de inflexión y cuatro fases o cambios de distribución. Su protagonismo dentro de las piezas analizadas también ha aumentado y los asuntos se han ido diversificando con el paso de los años. En conjunto, estos datos dejan constancia de la noticiabilidad que ha adquirido este hecho de diversidad sexual a lo largo de las dos primeras décadas del siglo XXI, en cuya atención mediática destacan valores-noticia como el conflicto entre las partes, la notoriedad de los protagonistas o la periodicidad a través del periodismo de aniversario. También sugieren que los medios de comunicación ofrecen cada vez una representación más compleja que favorece tanto la visibilización como la comprensión de las diferentes dimensiones y características que interseccionan en estas realidades.

Transsexuality has found a place in both the Spanish collective mindset and media. To analyze the portrayal of this type of sexual diversity in the media, we evaluated its presence in cybermedia, its ...preeminence in journalistic texts, and the issues addressed in its media coverage. A quantitative content analysis (N = 24,363) of the journalistic texts published during the period 2000–2020 by 13 generalist Spanish cybermedia was carried out, using both rule-based classification and unsupervised topic modeling. The results highlight an increase in journalistic texts about transsexuality, in which three inflection points and four phases or distribution changes can be distinguished. The preeminence of this topic within the analyzed pieces has also increased, and the issues covered have diversified over the years. Overall, these data confirm the newsworthiness that this type of sexual diversity achieved throughout the first two decades of the twenty-first century. Media attention especially highlights the newsworthiness of aspects such as conflict, the protagonist’s notoriety, or periodicity through anniversary journalism. Likewise, the results also suggest that the media offer an increasingly complex portrayal that favors both the visibility and the understanding of the different dimensions and characteristics that intersect in these realities. Resumen La transexualidad se ha hecho un hueco en el imaginario colectivo español y también en los medios de comunicación.
