Basing on the ideas used by Kiselev, we study the Hayward black hole surrounded by quintessence. The values critical of mass and the normalization factor are obtained. We also described the horizons ...and the extremal condition of the Hayward black hole surrounded by quintessence. By setting for the quintessence state parameter at the particular case of

, we study the effective potential, and we analyzed in detail the null geodesics for different energies as well as the behavior of horizons. Finally, the shadow of the black hole is explored.
SUMMARY
Shear wave splitting measurements in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (IT), southern Mexico, inferred from teleseismic core phases are presented. Measurements were made along a south-to-north ...profile across the IT. The results show a predominantly trench-normal pattern of fast polarization orientations with averaged delay times up to 2.2 s. Fast orientations near the trench suggest a corner flow in the mantle wedge and an entrained flow in the subslab region. Away the trench, fast orientations are parallel to the Absolute Plate Motion, suggesting that the anisotropy in that region is driven by a simple asthenospheric flow. A comparison with splitting measurements made in the Mexican subduction zone shows a 17° clockwise rotation of the fast orientations of between east and west Mexico. This is consistent with the observed change in orientation of 19° clockwise in the Middle American Trench (MAT). This suggests that the rotation of the fast orientations is controlled by the change of orientation in the MAT.
ACLF is a syndrome characterized by acute decompensation of hepatic cirrhosis, organ failure(s) and high short-term mortality. The most used diagnostic criteria are those proposed by EASL-CLIF, ...according to the CANONIC study. This study aimed to compare severity scales and mortality according to ACLF grade.
Retrospective analysis of patients with hepatic cirrhosis admitted consecutively to the Gastroenterology Department of CMNO. ACLF diagnosis was made according to EASL-CLIF criteria; patients were followed for 28 days. As to statistical analysis, Anova or Kruskal Wallis was used for continuous variables and Chi-Square for categorical variables. Significance was set at p<0.05.
Of 268 admitted patients with hepatic cirrhosis, 87 (32.4%) met ACLF criteria, of which 45 (51.7%) were female, with a mean age of 61.7 years (10.4 SD). The most common cirrhosis etiology was alcoholic, followed by chronic HCV infection. As to ACLF grade, 40 patients (45.9%) were grade 1, 17 (19.5%) grade 2 and 30 (34.4%) grade 3. Statistically significant differences were found in Child-Pugh, CLIF-C and MELD-Na, as well as in 28 days mortality (p<.0001) and biochemical variables (Table 1).
Our study found higher mortality than that reported in other series, probably due to the availability of liver transplants.
ACLF is an entity related to high short-term mortality.

The elastic differential cross section is calculated at low energies (below 100 MeV) for the elements 3He, 20Ne, 40Ar, 14N, 12C, and for the 208Pb using a finite electromagnetic potential, which is ...obtained by considering a Randall-Sundrum II scenario modified by the inclusion of p compact extra-dimensions. The length scale is adjusted in the potential to compare with known experimental data and to set bounds for the parameter of the model. The effective four-dimensional (4D) electromagnetic potential is produced by a point charge, as seen from the three-brane that contains it, in uniform motion in an RSIIp scenario.
The study of the nuclear structure for the elements sup.12C, sup.40Ca, and sup.6Li has been performed in the momentum range from 0 to 0.8 GeV/c by using K.sup.+N phase shifts. An optical potential is ...used to calculate the elastic differential cross section and total cross section for K.sup.+ scattering from sup.12C, sup.40Ca, and sup.6Li. Comparison with previous experiments shows better results for the elements sup.6Li and sup.40Ca and fair agreement for the element sup.12C.

To investigate the development of HLA-DR-associated autoimmune diseases, we generated transgenic (Tg) mice with HLA-DRA-IE alpha and HLA-DRB1*0401-IE beta chimeric genes. The transgene-encoded ...proteins consisted of antigen-binding domains from HLA-DRA and HLA-DRB1*0401 molecules and the remaining domains from the IE(d)-alpha and IE(d)-beta chains. The chimeric molecules showed the same antigen-binding specificity as HLA-DRB1*0401 molecules, and were functional in presenting antigens to T cells. The Tg mice were backcrossed to MHC class II-deficient (IA beta-, IE alpha-) mice to eliminate any effect of endogenous MHC class II genes on the development of autoimmune diseases. As expected, IA alpha beta or IE alpha beta molecules were not expressed in Tg mice. Moreover, cell-surface expression of endogenous IE beta associated with HLA-DRA-IE alpha was not detectable in several Tg mouse lines by flow cytometric analysis. The HLA-DRA-IE alpha/HLA-DRB1*0401-IE beta molecules rescued the development of CD4+ T cells in MHC class II-deficient mice, but T cells expressing V beta 5, V beta 11, and V beta 12 were specifically deleted. Tg mice were immunized with peptides, myelin basic protein (MBP) 87-106 and proteolipid protein (PLP) 175-192, that are considered to be immunodominant epitopes in HLA-DR4 individuals. PLP175-192 provoked a strong proliferative response of lymph node T cells from Tg mice, and caused inflammatory lesions in white matter of the CNS and symptoms of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE). Immunization with MBP87-106 elicited a very weak proliferative T cell response and caused mild EAE. Non-Tg mice immunized with either PLP175-192 or MBP87-106 did not develop EAE. These results demonstrated that a human MHC class II binding site alone can confer susceptibility to an experimentally induced murine autoimmune disease.
