Bu çalışmanın amacı bir ağartma jeli % 10CP ve iki ağartıcı strip’in %5.3, %14 HP mine yüzey morfolojisi üzerine etkisini değerlendirmekti. Bu amaçla 40-50 yaşlar›ndaki yetişkinlerden periodontal ...amaçla yeni çekilen 10 adet çürüksüz üst santral diş kullan›ld›. Dişlerin kökleri minesement s›n›r›ndan kesilip uzaklaşt›r›ld›ktan sonra, her bir diş kronu longitudinal olarak mesiodistal ve buccolingual yönde 4 eşit k›sma ayr›ld›. Her bir kronun 3 parças›na 3 ağartma tedavisinden biri 21 gün uyguland›. Dördüncü parçaya hiçbir tedavi uygulanmad› ve kontrol grubu olarak değerlendirildi. Daha sonra bütün örnekler elektron mikroskobunda SEM değerlendirilmek için haz›rland›. Ağartma materyalleri mine yüzeyinde farkl› morfolojik görüntüler sergilediler. Düşük konsantrasyonuna sahip stripler ile kontrol grubuna benzer mine yüzey morfolojisi elde edildi. Yüksek peroksit konsantrasyonlu stripler hafif değişiklikler oluştururken, ağartma jeli ile daha belirgin değişiklikler gözlendi.

Grup 1’deki örneklere herhangi bir bitirme ve cila işlemi uygulanmayıp, Grup 2’deki örneklere cila diskleri ile cila,Grup 3’deki örneklere ise tungsten karbid frezler ilebitirme işlemi uygulandı. Tüm gruplardaki örneklerin üst yüzeylerinden Vickers sertlik cihazıyardımı ile 100 gram yük ve 15 s yükleme süresialtında yüzey sertlik ölçümleri alındı. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of a bleaching gel and a whitening strip on the microhardness of 3 tooth-colored restorative materials.
Forty cylindrical specimens (6 × 2 mm) of each restorative material, including a nanohybrid composite resin (Grandio), a polyacid-modified composite resin (Dyract eXtra), and a glass-ionomer cement (Ionofil Molar AC), were prepared and stored in distilled water at 37°C for 24 hours. The specimens were then polished using medium, fine, and superfine polishing disks and stored in 37°C distilled water for 7 days. Specimens were divided into 4 groups (n=10). One group was selected for baseline Vickers hardness measurements (load 100 g, dwell time 20 seconds) of the top surfaces. The other 3 groups were treated for 21 days with 1 of the following: distilled water (control), bleaching gel (10% carbamide peroxide), or whitening strip (14% hydrogen peroxide). The top surfaces of the treated specimens were also subjected to the same hardness testing performed for the baseline specimens. Data were analyzed with 2-way analysis of variance and Tukey Honestly Significant Difference tests (α=.05).
There were no significant differences in microhardness between the test groups of each restorative material. However, significant differences in microhardness were observed among restorative materials. For all test groups, composite resin showed the highest hardness values, whereas glass-ionomer cement presented the lowest (
P<.05).
The bleaching products used in this study did not adversely affect the microhardness of the restorative materials.
Bu in vitro çal›şman›n amac›, kompozit rezin polimerizasyonu esnas›nda pulpa odas›nda oluşabilecek ›s› değişikliklerini değerlendirmektir. 40 adet çekilmiş maxiller santral insan dişi kullan›ld›. ...Dişlerin vestibul yüzeylerine 5 mm çap›nda, 2 mm yüksekliğinde standart kaviteler aç›ld›, dişler rasgele 4 gruba ayr›ld›. Dişlerin kökleri mine-sement birleşiminden yaklaş›k olarak 4 mm aşağ›da olacak şekilde kesildi, pulpa dokusu headström eğeler ile uzaklaşt›r›ld›. Her dişin pulpa odas›na digital termometrenin termocouple’› yerleştirildi ve radyografi ile kontrol edildi. Daha sonra bir ak›şkan Tetric-Flow , bir kondanse edilebilir Surefil ,bir hybrid Charisma ve bir ormoser esasl› Admira kompozit rezinler kavitelere yerleştirilerek 40 s ›ş›k cihaz› ile polimerize edildiler. Polimerizasyon esnas›ndaki ›s› art›şlar› kaydedildi. Sonuçlar istatistiksel olarak Varyans Analizi ve Duncan testi ile değerlendirildi. En yüksek ›s› art›ş› ak›şkan kompozit grubunda gözlendi. Objective: The effects of serotonin and/or noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitors on memory have been investigated in various clinical and pre-clinical studies. However, contradictory results have been ...reported. In this study, the effect of the selective noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitors atomoxetine and reboxetine, a tricyclic antidepressant, amitriptyline, and a selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor, paroxetine, on learning and memory were examined alone or in combination with scopolamine in mice using a passive avoidance task.
Methods: Male Balb-C mice (25-30 g) were used. Reboxetine (10 mg/kg), atomoxetine (5 mg/kg), paroxetine (10 mg/kg) and amitriptyline (10 mg/kg) were investigated alone or in combination with scopolamine (1 mg/kg). A passive avoidance task was used to evaluate memory function. Acquisition time was recorded on the first day and retention time on the second (after 24 h). All drugs and saline were administered intraperitoneally 30 min prior to testing in order to evaluate retention time.
Results: None of the drugs or saline impaired retention time when administered alone; however, scopolamine significantly impaired retention time (p=0.003). Reboxetine, atomoxetine and paroxetine all resulted in a marked improvement in retention time in combination with scopolamine. A combination of amitriptyline and scopolamine also significantly reduced retention time (p=0.013).
Conclusion: Our results suggest that the effect of atomoxetine and reboxetine on improving memory deficit may be attributed to their inhibition of noradrenaline re-uptake. The effect of paroxetine on improving memory deficit may arise from enhanced serotonergic activity. Amitriptyline's lack of positive effect on memory deficit may be due to its own anticholinergic effect. Further studies using the same models and animal species are needed to clarify the mechanisms of the effects of each drug.
