The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) was flown on the space shuttle Discovery during flight STS-91 (June 1998) in a 51.7° orbit at altitudes between 320 and.A search for antihelium nuclei in the ...rigidity range 1–was performed. No antihelium nuclei were detected at any rigidity. An upper limit on the flux ratio of antihelium to helium of <1.1×10−6 was obtained.The high energy proton, electron, positron, helium, antiproton and deuterium spectra were accurately measured.For each particle and nuclei two distinct spectra were observed: a higher energy spectrum and a substantial second spectrum. Positrons in the second spectrum were found to be much more abundant than electrons. Tracing particles from the second spectra shows that most of them travel for an extended period of time in the geomagnetic field, and that the positive particles (p and e+) and negative ones (e−) originate from two complementary geographic regions. The second helium spectrum flux over the energy range 0.1–was measured to be . Over 90 percent of the helium flux was determined to be at the 90% confidence level. (Elsevier)

Local anaesthetics are known to cause commonly adverse reactions, most of them are due to adjoining substances (vasoconstrictors and preservatives). Allergic reactions are rare. Lidocaine is one of ...the most frequently local anaesthetics used in current medicine.
Case report: a 54 year old woman, with an adverse reaction to metamizol, who came to our allergy service for study the reaction with the drug implicated and also to made a pre-anaesthetic assessment before going into a surgery. According our protocol we performed skin prick-test with mepivacain, thiopental, propofol, pancuronium bromide, suxamethonium, lidocaine, diacepam and latex. Patch test with mepivacain, bupivacaine and lidocaine were also carried out. We made drug intramuscularly challenges, with mepivacain 2%, bupivacaine 0,5% and lidocaine 2% and an oral challenge with metamizol.
All the skin prick test was negative. Six hours after the administration of lidocaine the patient present a pruritic and erythematous cutaneous wheal (10×10 cm) in the local injection area. The rest of the challenges were negative. The patch test with lidocaine was positive at 48 hours and also at 96 hours, with bupivacaine and mepivacain were negative. Eight controls were negative.
We present a patient with delayed hypersensitivity to lidocaine, demonstrated by patch test and a positive delayed result in the intramuscularly challenge.

Symptoms of hypersensitivity reactions to oxaliplatin range from cutaneous reactions, such as flushing, pruritus, and urticaria to life-threatening respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, ...including bronchospasm, chest pain, and hypotension 1. Oxaliplatin-induced fever may lead to discontinuation of treatment in some patients 2; however, fever has been reported to be an idiosyncratic reaction caused by chemotherapy and, therefore, not amenable to rapid desensitization 3.
The absolute muon flux between 20 and 3000 GeV is measured with the L3 magnetic muon spectrometer for zenith angles ranging from 0° to 58°. Las fracturas de estrés se producen cuando un hueso con resistencia elástica normal es sometido a cargas superiores a su resistencia mecánica. Aunque pueden producirse en cualquier localización, son ...más frecuentes a nivel de metatarsos, al ser zonas anatómicas sometidas a mayor carga. La clínica de las fracturas de estrés es muy inespecífica, por lo que una historia detallada es clave para el diagnóstico de sospecha. La radiología puede ser normal en los primeros estadíos, siendo la gammagrafía y la resonancia magnética los gold standards para el diagnóstico en etapas iniciales. Es recomendable realizar un estudio de posibles causas subyacentes que hayan podido contribuir a la fractura. Generalmente el tratamiento es conservador, aunque en algunos casos, como en las localizadas en el 5º metatarsiano, puede ser necesario tratamiento quirúrgico.
