We report results of experiments performed with the KEDR detector at the VEPP-4M \(e^+e^-\) collider. They include final results for the mass and other parameters of the \(J/\psi\), \(\psi(2S)\) and ...\(\psi(3770)\) and \(J/\psi\to\gamma\eta_c\) branching fraction determination.
We present a search for electroweak production of single top quarks in ~90 pb^-1 of data collected with the DZero detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Using arrays of neural networks to ...separate signals from backgrounds, we set upper limits on the cross sections of 17 pb for the s-channel process ppbar->tb+X, and 22 pb for the t-channel process ppbar->tqb+X, both at the 95% confidence level.
Using the KEDR detector at the VEPP-4M \(e^+e^-\) collider, we have determined the values of \(R\) at thirteen points of the center-of-mass energy between 1.84 and 3.05 GeV. The achieved accuracy is ...about or better than \(3.9\%\) at most of the energy points with a systematic uncertainty less than \(2.4\%\).
Background: Dolutegravir (DTG) plus boosted darunavir (bDRV) is a compact, adherence-friendly salvage regimen with the highest genetic barrier to HIV-1 resistance.
Objective: Aim of the present study ...is to assess the long term (96-week) safety and efficacy of DTG + bDRV in a of multidrug-experienced HIV-1 infected patients, simplifying or building rescue regimens.
Methods: All HIV-1-infected subjects from eleven Italian centers switched to DTG + bDRV between March 2014 and September 2015 were included and followed for minimum 96 weeks.
Results: The cohort comprises 130 subjects, switched from 42 different, complex or at least twice-daily regimens, mainly for simplification (44.6%), viral failure (30.0%) or toxicity (16.6%). At baseline 118 had documented resistance to 1-5 antiretroviral classes and 12 lacked genotypic results either for historical reasons or for problems with primer annealing; 52 (40%) had uncontrolled viral replication, three above 500.000 copies/mL. At week 96 two showed ≥50 HIV-1 RNA copies/mL, 23 had 1-49 copies/mL and 101 had no virus detected. The proportion of subjects presenting abnormal values at baseline significantly decreased for serum glucose, creatinine, AST, total cholesterol and triglycerides.
Conclusions: These long-term data confirm the reliability of the two-drug regimen consisting of bDRV plus DTG in salvage settings in HIV-1 infection.
The DO Collaboration has measured the inclusive jet cross section in proton-antiproton collisions at s**2 = 630 GeV. The results for pseudorapidities -0.5 to 0.5 are combined with our previous ...results at s**2 = 1800 GeV to form a ratio of cross sections with smaller uncertainties than either individual measurement. Next-to-leading-order QCD predictions show excellent agreement with the measurement at 630 GeV; agreement is also satisfactory for the ratio. Specifically, despite a 10% to 15% difference in the absolute normalization, the dependence of the ratio on jet transverse momentum is very similar for data and theory.
We present results of searches for technirho, techniomega, and Z' particles, using the decay channels technirho, techniomega, Z' -> e+e-. The search is based on 124.8 pb-1 of data collected by the D0 ...detector at the Fermilab Tevatron during 1992-1996. In the absence of a signal, we set 95% C.L. upper limits on the cross sections for the processes p pbar -> technirho, techniomega, Z' -> e+e- as a function of the mass of the decaying particle. For certain model parameters, we exclude the existence of degenerate technirho and techniomega states with masses below about 200 GeV. We exclude a Z' with mass below 670 GeV, assuming that it has the same couplings to fermions as the Z boson.
We report on a study of the ratio of inclusive three-jet to inclusive two-jet production cross sections as a function of total transverse energy in p-pbar collisions at a center-of-mass energy ...sqrt{s} = 1.8 TeV, using data collected with the D0 detector during the 1992-1993 run of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The measurements are used to deduce preferred renormalization scales in perturbative O(alpha_s^3) QCD calculations in modeling soft-jet emission.
The inclusive cross section for production of isolated photons has been measured in \pbarp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 630$ GeV with the \D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The photons span ...a transverse energy range ($E_T$) from 7-49 GeV and have pseudorapidity $|\eta| 2.5$. This preliminary measurement is combined with our previous result at $\sqrt{s} = 1800$ GeV to form a ratio of the cross sections. Comparison of next-to-leading order QCD with the measured cross section at 630 GeV and ratio of cross sections show satisfactory agreement in most of the $E_T$ range.
