Adamawa-Ubangi, a language spoken in southwestern Chad and north-eastern Cameroon, with many speakers, the tupuri is a close cohabitation with the French in the Central African region. French in this ...bilingual context undergoes tremendous morpho-syntactic and semantic changes. It is particularly to study the diaphasic and diastratic variations in the verbal system of French spoken in a tupuri milieu. We analyze different forms of transitive, intransitive, direct transitive and indirect transitive verbs. These layers result in semantic restriction and semantic extension. It comes from the same diaphasic variation: the choice of prepositions and ‘pronominals’ causes the problem of syntactic neologism; in the structure of relative proposition, many changes appear in relation to the concordance of verbal tenses and moods.

Sexuality occupies a prominent place in vehicular French in Cameroon. In their daily exchanges, speakers use many expressions and erotic expressions. To arrive at a vocabulary representative of ...sexuality, our essentially descriptive approach embraces several types of variation, including social, dialectal, pragmatic and enunciative variations as well as rhetorical uses. Faced with a sexually connoted French as illustrated by the corpus exploited, there is reason to resist the temptation to yield to a self-censorship that would eliminate many lexes attested in the basilectal variety practiced in Cameroon. The realization of such a sample is necessary insofar as it reflects a social environment similar to a linguistic-cultural Harlequin mantle. It is, of course, linguistic vitality expressing a social behavior taken into account by a domesticated language.
The dialectization attested in the French speaking world is explained by the fact that this language is spoken by speakers from different sociocultural backgrounds. The permanent contact between ...French and the Francophone community languages lead to a phenomenon of enrichment of French. Cohabitation with the French vehicular fulfulde gave birth to a hybrid spoken in schools in Northern Cameroon, the franfulfulde, characterized by linguistic interference in what concerns the first and second articulation of language. This leads to a true complementarity French – lingua franca, thus laying the foundations of a genuine interculturalism.
From the linguistic point of view, the Far North of Cameroon is Africa in miniature. Three of the four language families documented in Africa are represented. Apart from English and French, the ...official languages, over 50 autochthons languages are spoken languages. The contact between these languages and the official languages of identity is enriching. This language contact, a manifestation as it is of intercultural dialogue, is apprehended among other through a set of loans. In this paper, we dwell on the relationship between autochthons’ languages and the relations established between the French and autochthons’ languages, including tupuri, fulfulde, massana, mundang and the kera.
This paper describes and analyses the morphosyntax structures in French spoken in Far-North of Cameroon (Maroua). The corpus offers, to express the modalities of injunctive and interrogative in ...reported speech, a large regularity and a large coherence but also a real diversity in the choice of the morphosyntactic structures mobilised. The spontaneous basilectal French -- represented by our speaker -- offers a permanence of syntactic schemas which attest a deep restructuration of French. We notice that the Speaking French of North-Cameroon has many ways to express its originalities. It implies a real appropriation of French language. Adapted from the source document
