The recent completion of drilling at Vostok station in East Antarctica has allowed the extension of the ice record of atmospheric composition and climate to the past four glacial-interglacial cycles. ...The succession of changes through each climate cycle and termination was similar, and atmospheric and climate properties oscillated between stable bounds. Interglacial periods differed in temporal evolution and duration. Atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide and methane correlate well with Antarctic air-temperature throughout the record. Present-day atmospheric burdens of these two important greenhouse gases seem to have been unprecedented during the past 420,000 years.

Since 2010 the CMD-3 detector has been collecting data at the e+e− collider VEPP-2000 at Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics. CMD-3 is a general purpose detector designed to study e+e− annihilation ...into hadrons in the wide energy range s=0.3–2GeV. The CMD-3 barrel electromagnetic calorimeter consists of two subsystems: closest to the beam pipe is the Liquid Xenon calorimeter and the outer one is based on CsI scintillation crystals. The design of the calorimeter and its current performance are presented.
Pathologic duodenogastric reflux (PDGR) with high-amplitude changes in gastric pH can lead to destruction of the coating layer, resulting in degradation of the active compounds due to decrease in pH ...level after a reflux. According to our self-developed formula, pH 7 exposure time of resistance to PDGR for omeprazole is 4 minutes, i.e. the active substance should not be released within 4 minutes at pH 7.
The tensor analyzing power components T20 and T21 have been measured in elastic electron-deuteron scattering at the 2 GeV electron storage ring VEPP-3, Novosibirsk, in a four-momentum transfer range ...from 8.4 to 21.6 fm(-2). A new polarized internal gas target with an intense cryogenic atomic beam source was used. The new data determine the deuteron form factors G(C) and G(Q) in an important range of momentum transfer where the first node of the deuteron monopole charge form factor is located. The new results are compared with previous data and with some theoretical predictions.
A new accurate measurement of the tensor analyzing powers T20, T21, and T22 in deuteron photodisintegration has been performed. Wide-aperture nonmagnetic detectors allowed broad kinematic coverage in ...a single set up: E(gamma)=25 to 600 MeV, and theta(p)(cm)=24 degrees to 48 degrees and 70 degrees to 102 degrees . The new data provide a significant improvement over the few existing measurements. The angular dependency of the tensor asymmetries in deuteron photodisintegration is extracted for the first time.
We describe a precise measurement of the ratio of the (e super(+) p) to (e super(-) p) elastic scattering cross sections. This comparison is sensitive to the effect of two-photon exchange ...contributions which may be the cause for inconsistent extractions of the proton form factors obtained using different methods. The experiment was performed at storage ring VEPP-3, Novosibirsk at energies of positron/electron beams of 1.0 and 1.6 GeV with electron/positron scattering angles straighttheta = 65/105degrees for the first case and 15/25degrees and 55/75degrees for the second case. Details of the experiment and the preliminary results are presented.
This study investigated the evolution of the microstructure, mechanical properties, and electrical conductivity of novel Al-0.2Y-0.2Sc-0.3Er alloy in as-cast, as-rolled, and annealed states. Aluminum ...solid solution and τ2 (Al75–76Er11–17Y7–14) eutectic phase particles with a size of 50–200 nm were identified in the as-cast alloy sample by scanning electron microscopy investigation and phase diagram analyses. A precipitation strengthening mechanism was implemented during annealing at 300 °C for 7 h due to L12 precipitates of Al3(Sc,Y,Er) phase with a maximum diameter of 10 nm. The same structure was formed in the samples annealed at 300 °C for 7 h after rolling the as-cast alloy without aging treatment. The samples aged before rolling formed a more homogenous and finer substructure, with a grain structure formed after annealing rolled sheets. Significantly more uniform structures facilitate achieving higher strength and electrical conductivity. Al-0.2Y-0.2Sc-0.3Er alloy aged at 300 °C for 7 h, hot and cold rolled, and annealed at 300 °C for 7 h exhibited a good combination of strength and electrical conductivity: YS = 191 MPa, UTS = 207 MPa, El. = 14 %, and EC = 59.7 % IACS.

A comparative dissolution kinetics test was performed to model the actions of pathological duodenogastric reflux and therapeutic acid suppression on the stability of esomeprazole formulations from ...three different manufacturers. After exposure to solutions pH (1.2 ±0.05) or (4.0 ±0.05), formulations were transferred to medium pH (7.0 ±0.05), from which aliquots were collected at 0, 4, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, and 60 min for estimation of esomeprazole concentrations. The duration of exposure of the medicinal formulation of esomeprazole to pathological duodenogastric refluxate was 4 min. In these test conditions, Generic-1 and Generic-2 were found not to be equivalent to the reference drug (RD); the medicinal formulation of the RD was probably influenced by pathological duodenogastric reflux in the stomach, while Generic-2 was completely degraded in moderately acidic medium pH 4.0, which is evidence of the possible adverse influence of its main antisecretory pharmacodynamic effect of the intragastric stability of the medicinal formulation and the active substance.
