Achieving a certain level of well-being brought independence from the Hungarian government and, at the same time, gave the possibility to support the struggle for the cultural, political and national emancipation of the Romanians in Transylvania. A true advisor of the entire associative activity, this publication with an economic profile was integrated within the efforts to spread the national economic literature, which aimed at the economic and national emancipation of Romanians, respectively.
Chitosans, partially de-N-acetylated derivatives of chitin, are multifunctional biopolymers. In nature, biological activities of partially acetylated chitosan polymers are mediated in part by their ...oligomeric breakdown products, which are generated in situ by the action of chitosanolytic enzymes. Understanding chitosanolytic enzymes, therefore, can lead to the production of chitosan oligomers with fully defined structures that may confer specific bioactivities. To address whether defined oligomer products can be produced via chitosanolytic enzymes, we here characterized a GH8 family chitosanase from Bacillus spec. . Modeling and simulations show that the binding site comprises subsites ranging from (-3) to (+3), and a putative (+4) subsite, with defined preferences for GlcN or GlcNAc at each subsite. Flexible loops at the binding site facilitate enzyme-substrate interactions and form a cleft at the active site which can open and close. The detailed insight gained here will help to engineer enzyme variants to produce tailored chitosan oligomers with defined structures that can then be used to probe their specific biological activities.

Simulation studies and an analysis of a dopamine dataset are used to support our theoretical asymptotic results and their practical application.

Les auteurs de ce travail s'intéressent à l'ajustement d'un modèle de régression linéaire par des moindres carrés partiels à une composante. En laissant la taille de l'échantillon et le nombre de prédicteurs tendre vers l'infini, ils établissent la normalité asymptotique d'une combinaison linéaire univariée arbitraire d'estimateurs de coefficients et déterminent les intervalles de confiance et de prédiction asymptotiques correspondants. Des simulations numériques et un exemple de données sur la dopamine sont également fournis pour étayer les résultats théoriques et leur application pratique.
Abstract
Background
The current diagnosis of feline carpal injuries is based on radiographic examination including stress views and computed tomography; however, these techniques do not allow for ...direct evaluation of the carpal ligaments. The purpose of this cadaveric study was to assess the ability of CT arthrography (CTA) and MR arthrography (MRA) to provide this information using a single contrast mixture. A protocol for intra-articular injection of the feline carpus was also described. A contrast solution containing gadolinium and iohexol with a 50% gadolinium solution (Magnevist—gadolinium 0.5 mmol/mL diluted to a 0.05 mmol/mL solution) and 50% of iodine (Iohexol—iodine 300mgI/mL) was injected into the antebrachiocarpal and middle carpal joints of feline carpi using fluoroscopic guidance.
Results
CTA allowed for identification of intra-articular ligaments and the silhouette of select extra-articular ligaments when there was adequate joint distension, however it was not considered to be superior to MRI. MRA allowed for improved identification of the dorsal radiocarpal, accessorioulnocarpal, accessorioquartile, short ulnar and short radial collateral ligaments.
Conclusion
In this ex-vivo study, combined CTA and MRA enhanced the appearance of the feline carpal ligaments and may provide a foundation for future studies in the diagnosis of carpal injuries.

Handwriting recognition (HWR) is the ability of a machine to recognize handwritten text present in images, scanned or photographed. While much of the work reported in this field deals with scanned ...images, recognizing handwritten content from camera-captured images is still a challenge. While researchers are focusing their efforts to improve on the recognition process of such characters, the current work focuses efforts outside the recognition process.
This work employs image enhancement techniques, noise removal, and binarization with adaptive thresholding & segmentation, to increase HWR accuracy. Additionally, the work of employs deep learning-based language models, such as BERT & BART, to further enhance the accuracy of recognized text. It is observed that HWR accuracy increases when smaller images such as word images are used as input to the HWR engine. On the post-processing front, BART is demonstrated to be superior in enhancing the accuracy of HWR-recognized text documents in a comparative study presented in this work. An accuracy improvement of 20+% is achieved with the BART model enhanced with transfer learning through a localized dataset to handle HWR-specific error patterns.
In Turkish Budget Law, the rules regarding the procedure of budgets have always been determined primarily at the Constitutional level. In fact, the fundamental principles of enactment and compulsion ...of the public budget are included in the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey dated 1982. The detailed rules of the public budget, are regulated in the Public Fiscal Management and Control Law No. 5018. In this way, the legality in the preparation, implementation, and control of the budget within the scope of the legal function of the budget have been ensured. In addition, budget principles are also regulated in the aforementioned Law and have become a rule. Budget laws, on the other hand, contain the most detailed regulations regarding the provisions to be applied in the fiscal year. The legal nature of the public budget, which obliges its implementers to be complied with the budget, constitutes the legal function. For this reason, unless the legal function of the public budget is fulfilled, other functions cannot be made functional. The legal function of the public budget creates an area of judicial control also. In this way, fiscal actions are subject to legal compliance control and legal accountability can be made effective.

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were in situ generated in poultry hen egg shell powder (ESP) by one step thermal assisted method using the inherently present collagen as a reducing agent. The ...nanocomposite egg shell powder (NCESP) with in situ generated silver nanoparticles was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and antibacterial tests. The prepared NCESP had the spherical AgNPs in the size range of 50–120 nm with most of them from 81 nm to 90 nm. Further, the average size of the AgNPs generated in the NCESP was 88 nm. The X-ray analysis indicated the presence of both AgNPs and AgO nanoparticles (AgONPs) in the NCESP. The possible mechanism of generation of AgNPs and AgONPs in the NCESP was also proposed. The thermal stability of the NCESP was found to be higher than that of the ESP. The NCESP exhibited excellent antibacterial activity against both the Gram negative and positive bacteria. The NCESP made from poultry waste ESP can be utilized as a low-cost antibacterial cleaning powder for house ware and also as low-cost antibacterial filler in polymer matrices to make antibacterial hybrid nanocomposites.
