Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics is actively evolving the Super Charm-Tau Factory project. A drift chamber with a small hexagonal cell was proposed for this collider. For experimental measurements ...of a spatial resolution, a drift chamber small prototype consisting of seven cells has been developed. The experiments have been carried out in He/C3H8 (60/40) and He/C2H6 (50/50) gas mixtures at different gas gains using cosmic particles. For this purpose, a calibration procedure for R(t, α) has been developed and fine-tuned, taking into account small prototype features and an angular dependence of isochrones at the edge of the cells. As a result, the average spatial resolutions are less than 100μm for gas gains greater than 5⋅104.

collider. A specific feature of the ...experiment is the measurement of absolute beam energy using two methods: the resonant depolarization and the faster but less precise Compton backscattering of laser photons. This allowed a large series of measurements to be performed, in which the accuracy of determination of such fundamental parameters of particles as mass and total and leptonic widths was improved.

Since recently, the design of the detector for the Super Charm-Tau Factory has been actively developed at the Budker Institute. The principal tasks of the detector tracking system are to provide ...efficient reconstruction of charged-particle tracks, to determine their momenta and impact parameters with high precision and to identify particles using their energy losses. This article describes various issues related to the development of the drift chamber, the main part of the tracking system.

For further implementation of physical research program at the KEDR detector and for accompanying equipment upgrade the new drift chamber is currently being developed. This main tracking and ...momentum-measuring system represents gas multilayer wire chamber operating in proportional mode. Design features and modifications versus existing chamber are described. Using prototype the spatial resolution in various gas mixtures is being studied. Preliminary results of spatial resolution measurements are presented.
Abstract Using the 1.32 $$\hbox {pb}^{-1}$$ pb - 1 statistics collected at the $$J/\psi $$ J / ψ peak with the KEDR detector at the VEPP-4M $$e^{+}e^{-\, }$$ e + e - collider, we measured the ...branching fractions of $$J/\psi $$ J / ψ meson decays to the final states 2( $$\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-})\pi ^{0}$$ π + π - ) π 0 , $$K^{+}K^{-}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}\pi ^{0}$$ K + K - π + π - π 0 , 2( $$\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-})$$ π + π - ) and $$K^{+}K^{-}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ K + K - π + π - . The results obtained for the decays $$J/\psi \rightarrow $$ J / ψ → 2( $$\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-})\pi ^{0}$$ π + π - ) π 0 , $$J/\psi \rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}\pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}\pi ^{0}$$ J / ψ → K + K - π + π - π 0 contradict the measurements performed by other groups in the last century, but agree well with recent results of BABAR and BESIII collaborations.

We performed a comparative study of the proliferative potential of human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) from three sources (tooth pulp, adipose tissue, and Wharton’s jelly) in spheroid culture; ...human chondroblasts served as the positive control. Histological examination revealed signs of chondrogenic differentiation in all studied cell cultures and the differences in the volume and composition of the extracellular matrix. Spheroids formed by MSC from the tooth pulp and Wharton’s jelly were characterized by low content of extracellular matrix and glycosaminoglycans. Spheroids from adipose tissue MSC contained maximum amount of the extracellular matrix and high content of glycosaminoglycans. Chondrocytes produced glycosaminoglycan-enriched matrix. Type II collagen was produced by chondrocytes (to a greater extent) and adipose tissue MSC (to a lesser extent). The results of our study demonstrate that MSC from the adipose tissue under conditions of spheroid culturing exhibited maximum chondrogenic potential.
