The article explains the necessity to use cross-methodological approach to realization of marketing analytical function that combines methodology of classical marketing research and DataScience ...methodology. The explanation is based on results of literature analysis, which studies trends of DataDriven marketing development and DataScience; HeadHunter research dealing with assessing the compliance of the competence profile of specialist in the field of analytical marketing with demands of labour market and on results of the authors’ research in the present sphere. Comparative appraisal of efficiency of using classical methods of marketing research and DataScience methodology was conducted at enterprises; benefits and drawbacks of each of them were identified; similar and distinguishing stages of these approaches were found and efficiency of their integration was proved. Progress of Russian companies in realization of marketing analytical function by using DataDriven culture was estimated. Two principle reasons hindering the process of marketing based on data introduction to Russian organizations were named, i.e. non-compliance of competence profile of marketers-analysts//with market demands and uncoordinated investment in technologies aiming at DataDriven approach introduction into the company.
Interest in indolic structure metabolites, including a number of products of microbial biotransformation of the aromatic amino acid tryptophan, is increasingly growing. The review prepared by a team ...of authors is based on in-depthscrutiny of data available in PubMed, Scopus, Cyberleninka, Clinical Trials, and Cochrane Library, eventually narrowing the search to a set of keywords such as tryptophan metabolites; plasma metabolomics profiling; metabolomics fingerprinting; gas-, liquid chromatography mass spectrometry; serotonin; melatonin; tryptamine; indoxyl sulfate; indole-3-acetic acid; indole-3-propionic acid; 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic acid; gut microbiota and microbial metabolites. It provides a summary that outlines the pattern of changes in the level of indolic structure metabolites in a number of diseases and deals with the data from the field of human microbiota metabolites. In modern experimental studies, including the use of gnotobiological (germ-free) animals, it has been convincingly proved that the formation of tryptophan metabolites such as indole-3-acetic acid, indole-3-propionic acid, tryptamine, and indoxyl sulfate is associated with gut bacteria. Attention to some concentration changes of indolic compounds is due to the fact that pronounced deviations and a significant decrease of these metabolites in the blood were found in a number of serious cardiovascular, brain or gastrointestinal diseases. The literature-based analysis allowed the authors to conclude that a constant (normal) level of the main metabolites of the indolic structure in the human body is maintained by a few strict anaerobic bacteria from the gut of a healthy body belonging to the species of Clostridium, Bacteroides, Peptostreptococcus, Eubacteria, etc. The authors focus on several metabolites of the indolic structure that can be called clinically significant in certain diseases, such as schizophrenia, depression, atherosclerosis, colorectal cancer, etc. Determining the level of indole metabolites in the blood can be used to diagnose and monitor the effectiveness of a comprehensive treatment approach.
to study relationship between parameters of intracardiac hemodynamics assessed by Doppler echocardiography and functional activity of endothelium, hepatic blood flow and severity of portal ...hypertension in patients with cirrhosis of the liver (CL) of different etiology.
We found that changes of structural and functional parameters of the heart in LC depended on the stage of compensation of portal hypertension and were accompanied by rearrangement of parameters of intracardiac hemodynamics. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) was found in 11.1% of patients with LC. PAH was moderate and was more frequent in patients with end-stage disease (Child-Pugh class C) compared with those with initial stage of LC (21.4% and 6.3%, p<0.05, respectively).
Disorders of vasoregulating endothelial function in patients with CL were related to parameters of cardiopulmonary hemodynamics and functional state of the right ventricle and were more pronounced in patients with PAH.
The paper analyzes the generally accepted and particular methods for assessing the entrepreneurial activity efficiency, and reveals the advantages and disadvantages of those methods. As a result, the ...authors point out to two significant points that prevent the effective application of existing systems for analyzing entrepreneurial activities. Firstly, most of the methods rely on the data of the accounting, reporting of enterprises, the structure of which is far from perfect today, what distorts as a result the correctness and reliability of the coefficients calculated on their basis. Secondly, there is no clear explanation in the literature of which method to evaluate efficiency, and under what circumstances it is better to use. In conclusion, the authors propose an algorithm for assessing business performance, which allows analysts conducting the assessment to determine the choice of methodology and conduct reliable calculations.
A stark departure from traditional philology, What is Authorial Philology? is the first comprehensive treatment of authorial philology as a discipline in its own right. It provides readers with an ...excellent introduction to the theory and practice of editing ‘authorial texts’ alongside an exploration of authorial philology in its cultural and conceptual architecture. The originality and distinction of this work lies in its clear systematization of a discipline whose autonomous status has only recently been recognised. This pioneering volume offers both a methodical set of instructions on how to read critical editions, and a wide range of practical examples, expanding upon the conceptual and methodological apparatus laid out in the first two chapters. By presenting a thorough account of the historical and theoretical framework through which authorial philology developed, Paola Italia, Giulia Raboni and their co-authors successfully reconceptualize the authorial text as an ever-changing organism, subject to alteration and modification. What is Authorial Philology? will be of great didactic value to students and researchers alike, providing readers with a fuller understanding of the rationale behind different editing practices, and addressing both traditional and newer methods such as the use of the digital medium and its implications. Spanning the whole Italian tradition from Petrarch to Carlo Emilio Gadda, and with examples from key works of European literature, this ground-breaking volume provokes us to consider important questions concerning a text’s dynamism, the extent to which an author is ‘agentive’, and, most crucially, about the very nature of what we read.
Serotonin type-3 receptor (5-HT
R) antagonists show potential as a treatment for cognitive deficits in schizophrenia. CVN058, a brain-penetrant, potent and selective 5-HT
R antagonist, shows efficacy ...in rodent models of cognition and was well-tolerated in Phase-1 studies. We evaluated the target engagement of CVN058 using mismatch negativity (MMN) in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over study. Subjects were stable outpatients with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder treated with antipsychotics. Subjects were not permitted to use other 5-HT
R modulators or serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Each subject received a high (150 mg) and low (15 mg or 75 mg) oral dose of CVN058 and placebo in a randomized order across 3 single-day treatment visits separated by at least 1 week. The primary pre-registered outcome was amplitude of duration MMN. Amplitude of other MMN deviants (frequency, intensity, frequency modulation, and location), P50, P300 and auditory steady-state response (ASSR) were exploratory endpoints. 19 of 22 randomized subjects (86.4%) completed the study. Baseline PANSS scores indicated moderate impairment. CVN058 150 mg led to significant improvement vs. placebo on the primary outcome of duration MMN (p = 0.02, Cohen's d = 0.48). A significant treatment effect was also seen in a combined analysis across all MMN deviants (p < 0.001, d = 0.57). Effects on location MMN were independently significant (p < 0.007, d = 0.46). No other significant effects were seen for other deviants, doses or EEG measures. There were no clinically significant treatment related adverse effects. These results show MMN to be a sensitive target engagement biomarker for 5-HT
R, and support the potential utility of CVN058 in correcting the excitatory/inhibitory imbalance in schizophrenia.
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart rhythm disorder in clinical practice. It worsens the quality of life of patients, leads to an increase in the mortality rate because of its ...association with a high risk of thromboembolic complications. The current pandemic of a new coronavirus infection, which began in March 2020, was marked by an increase in cardiovascular diseases, including an increase in the number of patients with AF. That is why it is extremely relevant to find answers to questions about the association and mutual influence of AF and coronavirus infection to reduce the risk of vascular complications. However, most research in this area has focused on hospital patients. In this study, an electronic database of outpatients with AF, including patients with a history of COVID-19 infection was analyzed in order to assess the most significant risk factors for complications.
Aim:
to present the results of an expert discussion of modern aspects of the clinical manifestations, pathogenesis and treatment of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease ...(NAFLD).
Key points.
ALD and NAFLD are characterized by high prevalence and have a significant impact on public health. For the diagnosis of liver pathology, it is important to determine the stage of fibrosis and the severity of the exacerbation of the disease. In the treatment of ALD, it is recommended to achieve abstinence, proper nutrition, the appointment of B vitamins, drugs with cytoprotective activity. In severe hepatitis, corticosteroids may be prescribed. In the treatment of NAFLD, diet and lifestyle modification, weight loss, the use of insulin sensitizers, vitamin E, statins (in the presence of hyperlipidemia) and drugs with metabolic activity are effective.
Currently, a point of view is being actively expressed about the synergism of the action of alcohol and the metabolic syndrome on the development of fibrosis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The current international consensus recommends a change in the nomenclature of NAFLD and ALD and proposes the terms “metabolically associated steatotic liver disease” and “metabolically associated alcoholic liver disease”.
Conclusion.
The closeness of the clinical manifestations and pathogenesis of NAFLD and ALD justifies attention to drugs with metabolic activity, which are recommended by the Russian Gastroenterological Association and Russian Scientific Liver Society for the treatment of these diseases. The experts support the suggestion to quantify alcohol consumption in patients with NAFLD in order to change the management of patients, if necessary.

collider. A specific feature of the ...experiment is the measurement of absolute beam energy using two methods: the resonant depolarization and the faster but less precise Compton backscattering of laser photons. This allowed a large series of measurements to be performed, in which the accuracy of determination of such fundamental parameters of particles as mass and total and leptonic widths was improved.
