In the context of the digital transition, the semantic Web and linked open data (LOD) play an increasingly central role as they allow the construction of knowledge graphs linking together the ...resources of the Web. This phenomenon questions the historical sciences and raises the major issue of a paradigm shift. After clarifying what the meaning of “data” is, the paper analyses their place in the process of knowledge production. It presents the main components of the paradigm shift, and in particular the potential of LOD and robust semantics as vehicles for high-quality, intelligible and reusable factual information. We then present the infrastructure projects carried out at the Larhra (Laboratoire de recherche historique Rhône-Alpes) with the aim of facilitating the digital transition: symogih.org, ontome.net, geovistory.org. These Web applications are developed in line with the epistemology of the historical sciences and contribute to the realisation of a disciplinary “information graph”.

Ce phénomène interroge les sciences historiques et soulève la question d’un changement de paradigme. Après avoir précisé ce qu’il faut entendre par « données », l’article analyse la place qu’elles occupent dans le processus de production du savoir. Il présente les principales composantes du changement de paradigme, en particulier le potentiel des LOD et d’une sémantique robuste en tant que véhicules d’une information factuelle de qualité, intelligible et réutilisable. S’ensuit une présentation des projets d’infrastructure réalisés au sein du Laboratoire de recherche historique Rhône-Alpes (Larhra) : symogih.org, ontome.net, geovistory.org. Leur but est de faciliter la transition numérique grâce à un outillage construit en cohérence avec l’épistémologie des sciences historiques et de contribuer à la réalisation d’un « graphe d’information » disciplinaire.

We enrolled 61 infants, with a median IQR gestational age of 31.9 30.3; 32.9 weeks and birth weight 1490 1230; 1816 g; 2 infants were excluded from the analysis for set-up malfunctioning. 14/59 infants received surfactant within 24 h. Xrs predicted surfactant need with a cut-off - 33.4 cmH
O*s/L and AUC-ROC = 0.86 (0.76-0.96), with sensitivity 0.85 and specificity 0.83. An Xrs cut-off value of - 23.3 cmH
O*s/L identified infants needing surfactant or respiratory support > 28 days with AUC-ROC = 0.89 (0.81-0.97), sensitivity 0.86 and specificity 0.77. Interestingly, 12 infants with Xrs < - 23.3 cmH
O*s/L (i.e. de-recruited lungs) did not receive surfactant and subsequently required prolonged respiratory support.
Xrs assessed within 2 h of life predicts surfactant need and respiratory support duration in preterm infants. The possible role of Xrs in improving the individualization of respiratory management in preterm infants deserves further investigation.

This paper addresses the issue of interoperability of data generated by historical research and heritage institutions in order to make them re-usable for new research agendas according to the FAIR ...principles. After introducing the symogih.org project’s ontology, it proposes a description of the essential aspects of the process of historical knowledge production. It then develops an epistemological and semantic analysis of conceptual data modelling applied to factual historical information, based on the foundational ontologies Constructive Descriptions and Situations and DOLCE, and discusses the reasons for adopting the CIDOC CRM as a core ontology for the field of historical research, but extending it with some relevant, missing high-level classes. Finally, it shows how collaborative data modelling carried out in the ontology management environment OntoME makes it possible to elaborate a communal fine-grained and adaptive ontology of the domain, provided an active research community engages in this process. With this in mind, the Data for history consortium was founded in 2017 and promotes the adoption of a shared conceptualization in the field of historical research.

This method, which combines the project’s historical ontology with the recommendations regarding ...the digital transcription of documents proposed by the Text Encoding Initiative (tei), allows historians to enrich semantically the texts they study before publishing them on the internet thanks to a dedicated platform. This contribution discusses the details of the digital environment that has been set up and offers some reflections on the contribution of this method to a more thorough reading of original documents as well as the digital development of historical scholarship.

Le LARHRA a une longue tradition dans l’utilisation d’outils numériques pour la recherche. Dès le départ, et avec une plus grande maturité aujourd’hui, l’infrastructure co-portée par le LARHRA a été ...mise en place, afin de permettre aux projets de recherche en sciences historiques et, plus largement, en sciences humaines et sociales, de gérer une problématique de recherche propre. Dans ce contexte est né en 2008 le projet symogih.org (Système modulaire de gestion de l’information historique) visant la production collaborative de données. En 2016, il a été décidé d’inscrire l’expérience de modélisation acquise au fil des années dans l’univers du CIDOC CRM, une ontologie largement utilisée dans le domaine des musées et des humanités numériques, puis, dans le cadre d'un partenariat public-privé, de transformer l'expérience de symogih.org dans le développement de Geovistory, un environnement virtuel de recherche complet.
Given the challenge of giant knowledge graphs created by major eco-nomic actors, which could virtually replace research in the Humani-ties and Social Sciences (HSS) in responding to public concerns, ...thequestion arises of how to increase the value of research data throughtheir publication and networking, applying the FAIR principles. Bothan epistemological and a semantic analysis show that the most rel-evant part of research data is factual information, understood as arepresentation of the objects observed by the scientific disciplines,their properties and their relationships.This rich universe of information will be made understandable andtherefore reusable through the application of foundational ontologiesand a methodology based on the distinction between different levelsof abstraction, allowing the collective development of one or moreshared and reusable domain ontologies. This vision is being carriedout around the CIDOC CRM, as core ontology, and Semantic Datafor Humanities and Social Sciences (SDHSS), as a high-level exten-sion of it, as well as an ecosystem of sub-domain extensions that canbe easily managed through the ontome.net application. This willresult in an interoperability that is semantically richer than the sim-ple alignment of ontologies and less costly in terms of resources, andabove all adapted to the scientific and humanistic project of the HSS.
Dans ses lettres écrites depuis la France au pape et au cardinal Francesco Barberini, Tommaso Campanella affirme avoir joué un rôle essentiel lors du procès de Gerolamo Vecchietti. La principal chef ...d'accusation dans ce procès, instruit par le Saint-Office romain entre 1622 et 1628, a été le fait d'avoir nié que le Christ, à la veille de sa passion, aurait célébré la Pâque avec ses apôtres en mangeant l'agneau selon le rite juif. Grâce à la documentation conservée, une reconstitution fine de la chronologie permet de formuler quelques hypothèses quant au rôle joué effectivement par Campanella et de reconstituer les enjeux d'une procédure bien particulière. En effet, le procès aboutira en 1628 à la rédaction, par la plume du dominicain Niccolò Riccardi, d'un décret doctrinal prononcé par Urbain VIII, mais qui ne sera jamais promulgué, tandis que Vecchietti ne sera libéré qu'en 1633, sans qu'il ait dû abjurer ni se rétracter.
