In these organisations, the objectives of the public health teams include preventing or minimizing diseases and injuries and maximizing safety for participants, spectators and officials. The twenty-fifth Winter Universiade games took place between 27 January to 6 February 2011 in Turkey with the participation of 1593 athletes and 844 officials from 52 countries. During the games, approximately 2500 cases presented because of an illness or injury. The hospital division of the health services was provided by our Regional Training and Research Hospital. Therefore, a unit was organised in the emergency department for first assesment and outpatient treatment and also a unit for inpatient treatment in the hospital. All admissions to the hospital except the intensive care unit were made in this unit. During the games, 351 patients were admitted to the hospital. Of these patients, 332 were discharged after initial treatment and 17 were hospitalized. The most frequent diagnoses were upper respiratory tract infections and trauma, respectively. Natural disasters, that have caused many losses of property and life losses. To prevent these losses many societies have put an importance on the develeopment of creating organizational structures. ...Associations and corporations play an important rolecreating stong organizations. This research aims to find out how much these organizations takes the responsibility and put an importance on these natural disasters from the publics’ point of view. Data was collected and SPSS 20.00 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) was used to analyze this research. Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H tests have been used at the analysis phase. The research results showed that the publics’ opinions on organizations’ level of importance and taking responsiblity on natural disease topics varied according to publics’ age, sex and marital status variables. Conclusions and recommendations have been discussed regarding these results obtained from the research.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious infection disease, which may cause respiratory, physical, psychological, and generalized systemic dysfunction. The severity of disease ranges from ...an asymptomatic infection or mild illness to mild or severe pneumonia with respiratory failure and/or death. COVID-19 dramatically affects the pulmonary system. This clinical practice guideline includes pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) recommendations for adult COVID-19 patients and has been developed in the light of the guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 provided by the World Health Organization and Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Health, recently published scientific literature, and PR recommendations for COVID-19 regarding basic principles of PR. This national guideline provides suggestions regarding the PR methods during the clinical stages of COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 with its possible benefits, contraindications, and disadvantages. Universiade 2011 boyunca yaklasik 2500 hastalik ve yaralanma basvurusu yapilmistir. Oyunlarin hastane ile ilgili saglik hizmetleri 3. Basamak Egitim ve Arastirma hastanesi olan hastanemiz tarafindan saglanmistir. Bu amacla acil servis bunyesinde bir hasta karsilama ve ayaktan tedavi birimi, hastalarin yatisi icin de bir servis duzenlenmistir. Yogun bakim yatislari disindaki butun yatislar bu servise yapilmistir. Bulgular: Oyunlar boyunca 351 hasta hastaneye basvurmus, basvurulardan 332'si ayaktan tedavi verilip taburcu edilirken 17 vakanin yatisi yapildigi tespit edilmistir. Sonuc: Butun basvurular goz onunde bulunduruldugunda en sik karsilasilan tanilarin sirasiyla solunum yolu enfeksiyonu, travma oldugu gorulmustur.
