We report on a search for eleven lepton-number violating processes B + → X − ℓ + ℓ ' + with X − = K − , π − , ρ − , K * − , or D − and ℓ + / ℓ ' + = e + or μ + , using a sample of 471 ± 3 million B ¯ ...B events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e + e − collider at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. We find no evidence for any of these modes and place 90% confidence level upper limits on their branching fractions in the range ( 1.5 - 26 ) × 1 0 − 7 .
We present results of a search for CP violation in B0- B0 mixing with the BABAR detector. We select a sample of B0→D*- Xℓ+ ν decays with a partial reconstruction method and use kaon tagging to assess ...the flavor of the other B meson in the event. We determine the CP violating asymmetry ACP≡N(B0B0)-N(B0B0)/N(B0B0)+N(B0B0)=(0.06±0.17(-0.32)(+0.38))%, corresponding to ΔCP=1-|q/p|=(0.29±0.84(-1.61)(+1.88))×10(-3).
We present a measurement of the asymmetry ACP between same-sign inclusive dilepton samples scriptl+scriptl+ and scriptl-scriptl- (scriptl=e, mu ) from semileptonic B decays in Y(4S) arrow right BB- ...events, using the complete data set recorded by the BABAR experiment near the Y(4S) resonance, corresponding to 471x106 BB- pairs. The asymmetry ACP allows comparison between the mixing probabilities P(B-0 arrow right B0) and P(B0 arrow right B-0), and therefore probes CP and T violation. The result, ACP=-3.9+ or -3.5(stat) + or -1.9(syst)x10-3, is consistent with the standard model expectation.
Public drug programs in Canada are increasingly implementing cost management strategies. A multidisciplinary review of these strategies—specifically, the special authorization (SA) process—found that ...implementation of the SA practice is costly and causes inequity in access, underutilization, and delays in treatment for urgently required therapies, all potentially leading to negative health outcomes. We present potential solutions and a set of recommendations for decision-makers to base reimbursement decisions on the best clinical evidence, eliminate regional variability in access, ensure timely access to urgently required treatments, and monitor the impact of reimbursement policies on health outcomes.

We report a measurement of the D 0 meson mass using the decay chain D ∗ ( 2010 ) + → D 0 π + with D 0 → K − K − K + π + . The data were recorded with the BABAR detector at center-of-mass energies at ...and near the Υ ( 4 S ) resonance, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of approximately 477 fb − 1 . We obtain m ( D 0 ) = ( 1864.841 ± 0.048 ± 0.063 ) MeV , where the quoted errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. The uncertainty of this measurement is half that of the best previous measurement.
