Even in global COVID-19 pandemic circumstances, when all education went on-line. Whole six-year educational journey is documented and explained through two type of students surveys, one official, institutional and the authors one, proving some good initial and pandemic Course design decisions. In discussion part some authors recommendations and further challenges are opened.
Contribution: This study explores employers, university teaching staff, and student perceptions of the importance of the generic skills of information and communication technology (ICT) graduates. ...Background: The generic skills mastery of ICT graduates has been an important topic for many years and it still is nowadays, especially in the context of educating ICT professionals for unknown future jobs. A comprehensive view of the importance of the generic skills from the perspective of three main stakeholder groups, as presented in this study, provides a basis for educators globally to make further steps in the provision and assessment of the most important generic skills of ICT students within higher education curricula. Research Questions: This research addresses three simple, but important questions: 1) when hiring recent ICT graduates, how important are their broader employability skills (generic/soft/transferable skills) comparing to the specific professional, technical, or academic knowledge and skills that come with graduation? 2) which generic skills of ICT graduates are the most important? and 3) do ICT graduates possess the most important generic skills? Methodology: Research was conducted in Croatia, by using an online survey among 155 employers who employ ICT professionals, 208 students, and 49 teaching staff from two Croatian higher education institutions (HEIs). It was supported by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Croatian Employers' Association, and Croatian Independent Software Exporters. Findings: Research results show that: 1) generic skills of ICT graduates are very important; 2) the three most important skills, as recognized by all three stakeholder groups are ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge; ability to apply knowledge in practical situations ; and ability to identify and resolve problems ; and 3) the perception of graduates' possession of generic skills varies among three stakeholders groups.
Role of higher education in the development of students ' generic competencies has been a topic of discussion for many years and is still nowadays. Lack of conceptual clarity, classification of ...generic competencies as domain-specific or domain-general, and their development within curriculum or within co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are all areas requiring further work and discussion. Moreover, the methodologies for the assessment and evaluation of generic competencies within higher education have proved to be very complex and can be hardly used for benchmarking of higher education. This paper brings the overview of the main theories in the field and discusses the potential for the assessment and evaluation of student generic competencies within Croatian higher education, in the information and communication technologies (ICT) domain.
Digital transformation has proven itself to be of utmost importance for citizens' participation in political activities and their need for a timely and quick provision of services. Despite the recent ...coronavirus pandemic, we are all witnessing the true power of the European Commission's digital governance policies and actions. Changes that have occurred in a timely manner are clearly driving development and implementation of new set of citizen digital services. They represent a logical step towards digital society, considering the always-developing information and communication technology and society threats and opportunities. The aim of the paper is to present public e-services that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemics in Croatia to show efficiency of modern e-Government solutions, and to introduce some fundamental aspects of complex digital services architecture needed to level up entire digital public sector.
Cilj. Cilj istraživanja je ukazati na razliku u diskursu koji vlada u domenama informacijske pismenosti i zapošljivosti. Uvažavajući prethodne rezultate istih autora o vrlo slabom preklapanju domena ...informacijske pismenosti i zapošljivosti, u ovom istraživanju preko pojmova vještine i kompetencije valja utvrditi zašto ta dva vrlo izražena pojma iz konteksta zapošljivosti ne doprinose povezanosti informacijske pismenosti i problematike zapošljivosti mladih.
Metodologija. Mapiranje i vizualizacija domena istraživanja provedena je bibliometrijskom analizom supojavnosti riječi nad skupovima dokumenata izdvojenih iz Scopus citatne baze. Analiza je provedena korištenjem VOSviewer softvera razvijenog na Lajdenskom sveučilišnom Centru za znanost i tehnologiju.
Rezultati. Konstruiranjem modela domena informacijske pismenosti i domene zapošljivosti, vizualnim mapiranjem ključnih pojmova pokazana je razlika koja vlada u njihovom diskursu. Analiza je izvršena preko pojmova vještine i kompetencije, koji su karakteristični pojmovi vezani uz zapošljivost mladih. Iz njihovog položaja u domeni informacijske pismenosti vidljivo je da se nalaze unutar samog klastera informacijske pismenosti, u okruženju i kontekstu stjecanja vještina i kompetencija koje se odnose na informacijsku pismenost, a ne na izvanjsko okružje. U domeni zapošljivosti je, nasuprot toga, vidljivo da se nalaze u središtu klastera koji obuhvaća s jedne strane rad i zapošljivost, a s druge studente i visokoškolsko obrazovanje. Posebno je indikativno da u model informacijske pismenosti konstruiran uz minimalne restrikcije nisu uvršteni pojmovi vezani uz rad, zapošljivost ili zaposlenje, što ukazuje da cjelokupni diskurs domene informacijske pismenosti i nije usmjeren u tom pravcu.
Originalnost. U znanstvenim krugovima do sada nije provedena sveobuhvatna analiza domene zapošljivosti i njenog diskursa u segmentu zapošljivosti mladih, a pogotovo ne s aspekta informacijske pismenosti. U ovom je radu prikazan specifičan aspekt koji ukazuje zašto je diskurs tih dviju domena različit, iako se u obje aktivno spominju pojmovi vještina i kompetencija vrlo upotrebljivi u diskursu zapošljivosti. Korištenjem metoda i alata vizualnog mapiranja, rezultati su predočeni vrlo intuitivno, jasno i jednostavno.
Cilj rada je ukazati na najbolje prakse korištenja

i bolje motiviranost pri učenju programiranja na
online sustavima za učenje.

programima korisničke vjernosti, a sve je
popularnija primjena u obrazovanju, posebno
kad treba motivirati mlade ljude da izdrže u
obavljanju ne-trivijalnih zadaća kao što su učenje
informacijskih tehnologija i/ili programiranja.

Društvene mreže i masovni mediji kontinuirano nas preplavljuju senzacionalističkim, vrlo često neprovjerenim, a sve više i lažnim, usmjerenim informacijama. No, oni su zaslužni i za sve veću ...popularnost ulaganja u kripto valute. U cilju boljeg razumijevanja današnjih ulagača u kriptovalute, tijekom ljeta 2021. godine obavljeno je opsežno istraživanje putem kripto zajednice i specijaliziranih komunikacijskih mreža i portala. Ono je pokazalo kako je ulaganje u kriptovalute globalni fenomen, a ulagači većinom mlađe osobe, pretežno muškarci, koji privučeni novim tehnologijama traže priliku za ulaganje. Velika većina razumije volatilnost kripto ulaganja i smatra kripto ulaganje sustavnom i dugoročnom investicijom. Dobro je da ulagači nisu povučeni signalima anonimnih vlasnika grupa ili influensera društvenih mreža, nego su voljni sami za sebe istražiti prilike. I oni koji još ne ulažu u kriptovalute, nego tek razmišljaju, traže preporuke, ali ne po društvenim mrežama, forumima ili zatvorenim komunikacijskim kanalima, nego od osobnih prijatelja kojima vjeruju.
Better employability is raising concern of most higher education institutions in Croatia. Educational sector and employment sector usually lack of common understanding especially considering generic ...and information literacy competences. HE programs are focusing on learning outcomes and employers are mostly looking at competences and personal traits. Zagreb University of Applied Sciences in defining new study programs for 2025 timeframe is building a model which can help closing the gap.
Prototip aplikacije predstavljene u radu nastao je tijekom izrade završnog rada prvog autora. U ovom članku su ukratko navedene osnovne trenutno dostupne metode automatskog sažimanja teksta uz ...isticanje izazova korištenja tekstova na hrvatskom jeziku. Dan je vrlo sažeti prikaz izrade prototipa odgovarajuće internetske aplikacije. Uz objašnjenje arhitekture, pojašnjeni su moduli i pokazan krajnji rezultat. U završnom dijelu diskutirani su uočeni izazovi i ponuđene smjernice za daljnji razvoj.
The field of development of student generic competencies is extremely complex, and becoming even more intensified, accelerated and complicated by comprehensive changes in society. The worldwide ...popularity of Generative AI/Chat GPT, and its rapid involvement into the educational system did not eased, but complicated educational paradigm. In this work, early experience of utilizing its use as valuable student assistant is given. Redesigning, one can argue intensifying, the Class of Information Literacy and Critical Thinking for freshmen students of IT at Zagreb University of Applied Sciences, by changing a delivery form to debate, and introducing concept of Mental Models for better understanding of given topics, plus giving them Chat GPT as legal assistant for preparation and debate, very positive results in teaching Information Literacy and Critical thinking are produced. In addition to enhancing certain Generic Competencies, there is a notable improvement in key IT employability skills.
